Dev and Gail wouldn't be so bad.
It's too soon for Ken to be with another woman, in my opinion of course. I'm not enjoying the Ken and Audrey scenes at all

You could argue at their age, why wait? |

I actually think Kenneth and Aud do have some similarities and could work together as a couple but I think this SL is rolling out too quickly, just a couple of months after Deirdre passed but especially given the real life circumstances. Its going to be a

It is too soon BUT Ken hadn't seen Deirdre for well over a year by the time she passed away and he was away a long time before that as well in "Canada".
In the last 5 years they haven't spent much time together at all and Ken is one of those men that needs a woman, he always has done. You could argue at their age, why wait? He and Audrey have always been friends so I think it's a fairly natural progression, since they're both lonely and not getting any younger. Add to that the fact that soaps can't afford to wait too long for their sls - who knows how long William Roache and Sue Nicholls will want to carry on for? I say go for it Ken and Audrey.

We must not look back with rose tinted glasses when it comes to Ken and Dierdre. Yes they loved each other, but they had both been with numerous people (more so Ken) before and during their times together.

He said he had a dream of Deirdre pegging out the washing, it melted Audrey's heart. Ken is a silver fox, lest us never forget this. If this character existed outside of soap land and lived in the vicinity of any ladies over 50-60, he would be wrestled over. He looks blooming good for his age.

"Corrie Actors React"? All I can see in this article is the thoughts of Sue Nicholls.
I thought from the headline of this thread that it was going to be all the cast up in arms at the storyline... |

Ken was introduced as a 21 year-old in 1960, so the character is now 76. He's obviously lonely without a partner - children and grandchildren don't ease that type of loneliness. At his age, how long should he wait to find companionship again if he wants it?
It's a different situation with someone of his age compared with someone in their 40s or 50s, and not everyone needs another companion. Ken obviously does. |
