Sounds interesting, could lead to a broader range of songs However, remember Lucie Jones sang "This is Me" one week in her year and then the next week sang something totally different...

Lucie left that week. Previously she had been a weak diva ballad singer type.

What a grim theme. I mean, great, we get to know who they are as artists but it's pretty flimsy as far as themes go. at least they're trying something different.

I'd say this will work well for the likes of Fourth Impact, Alien, Mason and Reggie and Bollie as they have clear lanes and will play up to that (if they're allowed to).

Problems I see for Louisa (yeah she can sing, but we've had textbook song choices so far, no individuality. I anticipate a VT saying "I've not shown who I am yet, but this song is the sort of album I want to make, cue rapturous applause and saying she's the most relevent artist on the show). Keira and Lauren also have very little musical identity and I think it will be used against at least one of them. I think Anton and Max are in danger of knowing their music but being accused of it being dated thus nobody being interested. Wouldn't be shocked with one of them in the bottom two. Poor Bupsi I think is already a goner. Who would buy a record of hers?!

if the contestants do songs from acts that sum them up i expect to see kiera do a whitney number , bupsi to do tina turner and 4th Rate to do Jane MacDonald

This will be the week where the winner could be shown! this is thier chance to show us what they have got and what they can do as an individual. Really interesing theme. We will be shown the winner this weekend without a doubt.

Tbh i think they have done this is on purpose so the producers can have a heads up on who the public really like, and then from after this weekend, they can manipulate the public into which who they want out and who they want to stay in?

thoughts?

haven't they usually done a fairly generic theme in week one ?

for me the more interesting dynamic is there being fewer live shows so the "journey" aspect is harder to portray and acts will have to make more of an instant impression or alternatively cant bore people to tears just doing the same thing every week as there is less time to get bored with someone
