Fleur will be performing and releasing her new single "Sax" next weekend (8th November).

I just saw her facebook post, Sax is being released on the 6th and shes appearing on the 8th - this is probably the best and clever way to release it!! Cant wait, I assume Ben will be this weekend...

So happy for Fleur! It's going to Epic

Why has the release of Sax been pushed back twice?

Are Syco that desperate to get a hit single? If there is enough demand for the song, then the public will go and buy it.

Just like with Ben Haenow, OA/OS just doesn't work for new artists starting out. They need the build up of airplay as the British music buying public tend to buy music that they are familiar with. There's nothing more familiar than 6-8 weeks of built up airplay.

Second Hand Heart isn't that bad to be honest, and had Syco just put the song up for pre-order and sent the music video to all the music channels, people would've heard the song enough times to decide if they liked it or not. Instead, it was just released without anyone actually hearing the song and it enters at #21 making the song look like it's flopped. There are probably 50k people out there who would love Second Hand Heart but have still not heard the song, hence its not selling the way it could be.

At least Sax has a 90 second preview on iTunes. Even Ben's single didn't have a preview until it got released.

I think it was pushed back once coz of Adele releasing Hello, new artists wouldnt stand a chance.

I feel Fleur is going for a double whammy releasing same time as her performance, I suppose it makes sense.

I'm unsure about that. It really depends on how much Adele's humongous sales tail off over the next two weeks.

Adele might still be selling close to 100k come 6th November so Fleur would need to be selling 5 times what Ben Haenow sold to be in with a chance of being a #1 contender.

I think Sax will go top 5, unless it takes off on Spotify then it could go as high as #2 but I think Adele will still be #1 - Hello will probably remain #1 on the weekly streaming chart for the rest of the year.

Of course, tbh I don't expect Fleur will get a number 1 straight away, if it goes down uptown funk route it will build momentum, but I dont think anyone is beating Adele at this moment in time.

However I will be happy if Fleur gets top 5, even more happy if she does get number 1.

From all the snippets I've heard, it should be a Top 10 hit easily. Could've been #1 had it not been for Adele's new release.

Interesting that lots of artists (1D, Sam Smith, Ed Sheeran etc.) have said they're taking a break from music... this gives people like Ben and Fleur a chance to come through during a quiet time in terms of the music industry.

So they're going to have the runner up on before the winner to promote their single? Embarrassing from SYCO. They put Ben up against 1D and the Tinie Tempah & Katy B song but are trying their utmost to grant Fleur an easy hit.

Agree with you here Eva. I think Fleur will be well happy if she gets a top 5 position with her first single.

Terribe manipulation from Cowell if true that Fleur will be on before the Winner from last year and she is able to promote the same week as her single release. Is there any real point in people voting in this competition?

You lot are so negative she might be on before Ben because of his schedule you know it isn't all about manipulation

SYCO knows full well that Fleur is going to be more popular than Ben. He might be many things, but he is'nt daft.

That's even worse, two weeks after the single has already been on sale and two weeks before the album in the middle of no man's land

I guess with fewer live shows they have to fit the guests in when they can.

I don't see why he couldn't have performed in two saturday's time after the album's release

He's not even given a main Sunday slot 2 weeks after his single release. Fleur's has been pushed back twice to coincide with the performance to make sure she can do well with no competition.
