Some terrible music choices there, how you can dance a rumba to that song, I have no idea

My ovaries just exploded at the thought of Antpn dressed as the phantom. I have been dreaming of this for a long time.

Very confused by Kellie and Kevin's music.

Some terrible song choices including "Thriller"for a salsa? That is more Paso/Tango-i-fied to me.

There seems to be a few Salsas to Thriller on Youtube but you'll probably people putting all sorts of dances to it.

Jay and Aliona's could be brilliant (although I hope they don't go too far with the wolf costume). Tango to Ghostbusters sounds awful - I hope they at least let Georgia dress up as Sigourney Weaver's character rather than one of the Ghostbusters. Dreading what the band will do with the Scissor Sisters. Katie has good music but I will have to try and not compare with Kara and Artem's. Really not looking forward to Kevin and Kellie dressed, presumably, as Harry Potter and Hermione.

This is the version of Bad Romance Kirsty and Brendan will be dancing to: http://www.bbc.co.uk/music/playlists/zzzzhg
Good for a Charleston but I can't see her being able to let go enough to pull of a good Charleston.

Could be a good week for:
Jamilia
Anita- but might be a bit forgettable.
Jay
Helen
Katie
Peter- Love that song (although won't it need slowing down for a foxtrot?)

Bad week for:
Georgia
Jeremy
Carol

Kellie - I like both songs separately but don't know how those two songs will work together. I'm guessing they'll be dressed up as Hogwarts students.

What a horror for Helen and Aljaz, that's a slow song for a samba.

Going by the other thread, Anita and Gleb will be the first Halloween waltz. Spooky song, though I'm not sure the band's vocalists can match the original singer's tone. It's the right sort of tempo for a waltz.

Poor song choice for Peter and Janette too. A foxtrot to that?

I certainly don't think Carol is one of them.

Doesn't really work for me. There's so many dramatic songs they could use for a tango which would create an amazing atmosphere but they choose a film theme that would be much better with a more upbeat dance (if they insist on using it!) I just don't get it but that's true of a lot of the music choices

Alfonso Ribeiro danced a rumba to it on DWTS, but I think they just danced really fast rather than slowing it down, although that was Ella H singing it live so the band may slow it down I suppose.

That had me baffled when it was announced on ITT earlier. My immediate reaction was "How on earth do you salsa to Thriller??!!"

I actually like the idea of GG doing the tango to Ghostbusters. In my head the main instrumental part (you know, the "dur dur, dur dur, da da da , dur dur...") could work quite well. And apologies to anyone musical who might be reading this post - it was the best I could explain it

As someone musical- don't apologize! I've heard professional musicians describe pieces as "that one with the flutes" or "that bit that goes da da da dum"

Well, it's not rumba or waltz slow or anything. Plus it has a decent beat underneath it.

Don't know if the dance itself is a good choice. In a way, it's difficult to shine (probably no sexy dress like in the cha cha) and probably the dance which will suit her the least. On the other hand. survive this week and party latin is gone (out of the window).

Assuming the producers did skip a latin dance for her, it will probably be either rumba or paso (hopefully the rumba).

I can totally hear Salsa in thriller. You can do the forward and back basic easily to the bass line.

Kevin will be anyway .. they won't have to do much to make him look like HP .. but as it's a paso I'm imagining Kellie will be something from the dark side. Or Harry and Hermione will look like they're fighting each other!

Most songs are good I think.

Take Your Mama might work as a samba, but for a Hallowe'en-themed dance is baffling. It's a song about coming out as gay to your less-than-accepting parents. I'm lost as to what's Hallowe'en-y about that.

Turns out Carol's song is the one I think it is... has anyone been thrown under the bus harder? Unless you're planning to acoustify it, how is even a competent dancer meant to dance to that?

Yeah, not looking like a classic Hallowe'en night this year, is it?
