At least it is actually a waltz though... https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Once_U...ng_Beauty_song)

Personally I love the Lana Del Rey version as it's quite creepy and dark. Perfect for Halloween I think

It is V Waltz tempo not modern waltz tempo in the version done on DWTS this week the waltz looked rushed because of it https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cRzmv_yWoX4 though I agree it is great for halloween it would have been easier to dance to as a V.Waltz

Oh dear every week I see the songs and I cringe and cough as I read through them

The selectors are an idiotic bunch

I am pleased that they try and keep the songs varied and a bit imaginative from standard run of the mill Halloween choices, I would love them one year to dance one of the fast numbers to Theres A Ghost in my House by R Dean Taylor as i would think that would be perfect music for a fast upbeat dance.

Good song for a jive, and perfect for Halloween.”

Brendan did a Jive to Time Warp with Michelle Williams, also on Halloween week.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CWQONv5FL70

Brendan said he tried to make sure there was enough Jive content, with only a nod to the Time Warp moves at the end, but Len hated it anyway and slated the routine because he felt there wasn't enough Jive content. Craig, on the other hand, loved it because it was very theatrical. You can't really do Time Warp without the Time Warp moves though, so Tristan will have to be very careful to get the balance right.

I wonder if they'll recycle Brendan's costume for Tristan?

You could definitely jive to it

I agree, a lot, not all of them, but a lot, of songs they choose are rubbish!

Message to me! Close but no cigar....if I understand ITT correctly it would appear Pasha is being stitched up by Carol (who is being stitched up by the producers). He is her monster...whether she is already a monster I don't know but by making her create him rather than the other way round I am not sure if they are trying to avoid a Carol dances like a Frankenstein simile or making her out to be some old catlady cougar that has to make a Pasha. (although if anyone from the GBSB would like to make me one that would be very fine).
On a happier note Anita says she is Malificent so all is well with the world (though not sure who she'd be dancing with, the huntsman?, I haven't really thought it through have II?)
Georgia may well be in jeopardy if the footage is owt to go by, or it is a transparent attempt at suspense building.
Title aside, I really do not get Ella henderson's Ghost, tis neither spooky nor poignant for a Halloween foxtrot. If we're doing ghosts we could have had David Sylvian or the sublime Caitlin O'Riordhan's Haunted.

I'm extremely happy with all of this news! She should look amazing. Gleb is almost certainly NOT the Huntsman - that character is from Snow White - Maleficent is from Sleeping Beauty! So, the options for him are the King or Prince Philip, and I'd expect him to be the handsome prince! Do people really get the two fairy tales that mixed up?

Not a big Disney movies fan but I love Angelina Jolie so I had to see maleficient . So glad that I did. ...her performance in this movie was EVERYTHING !!!!!! I LOVE THAT MOVIE and that song that Anita and Gleb are dancing to has such an haunting, beautiful feel to it. ..perfect for Halloween. I like Lana Del Rey as well and hearing Anita said that she's going to be Maleficient ......ARGHHHH I cannot wait to see this dance .

This is the dance I'm most looking forward to over the weekend. They have the best song , dance and theme imo.

Jay Wolfie and Little Red hood Aliona a close 2nd

Echoing some of the existing comments:

Not sure how "I Think I Love You" is a Halloween related song....

It's going to be a slow samba to "Take Your Mama"

And I'm not sure how they're going to Charleston to Bad Romance....

Clearly
But don't tell my four year old! In fairness, it was silly o'clock when I couldn't sleep.
And I had Snow white in my head as I was going to suggest they recycled Kristina's outfit from the group dance last year...then realised it was the wrong character. Ah well. Have just seen ITT and Carol IS going to be a Bride of Frankenstein complete with big beehive wig. They might pull it off, at least it will be memorable

It doesn't even have a rumba rhythm. The best ever Halloween rumba music is Spooky by Dusty Springfield - absolutely perfect. But that was totally wasted on Anton & Nancy Dell'olio

Yes -lines like 'something that keeps knocking at my brain' ....'I jump (?) up from my bed screaming out the words I dread... I think I love you!' (I could have the words a bit wrong but near enough). I listened to it on YouTube and in the comments, one person had said it had an eerie feel to it, like a song that could be for a 'children's Halloween movie'...? But for the life of me I can't hear it as a rumba song ! I don't think they've ever had a song like that for rumba?!
It's going to be a romantic comedy rumba with Frankenstein monsters ...
