If viewers actually voted for who is the best singer then Louisa would win by a large margin, but the fact that they normally vote for who they like the most then i doubt if she will. She will get signed though which is the most important thing.

Yes, likability is a huge factor in whether someone is successful or not - and rightly so.

'Who's Loving You?' I agree is soul (well motown soul), but it's hardly an inspired choice for her to pick. It's been performed so many times before on these types of shows. 'And I Am Telling You' is not soul...it's a show tune/big ballad. 'Respect' is more rhythm and blues than soul.

I doubt if she has very much say in what she sings anymore than any of the other contestants. We all know that the majority of that is done by those running the show.

I agree that WLY wasn't an inspired choice - AIATY is a show tune but it still has Soul elements. 'Respect' is a soul song 100% (obviously not strictly soul, but still soul).

I do like Louisa but part of me thinks that she's not quite ready yet. I think she be better off leaving about when Ella did and having time to develop as an artist before releasing an album.

Louisa could sing the phone book, she will only get better as she gets older, plus Louisa has the whole package, the looks, the voice, can dance (not brilliantly but she could learn) and the stage present, imo, she has The X Factor, and should win, as she is by far the best there.

I thought when watching her perform Billie Jean that maybe she has got a voice more suited to rock than soul.

I know that sounds a bit crazy given that Billie Jean isn't a rock song, but I really felt trike she performed it like a rock song.

No it's not crazy - I completely get what you are saying. She's more suited to Kelly Clarkson, Pink and early Katy Perry than singing the same XF cliché songs again and again. Her performance of 'Billie Jean' was actually incredible in my opinion (and obviously I wasn't a fan of her before ) so pop/rock songs - or at least pop songs with a rock "reinvention" - would be the way to go with her.

Actually, she'd be good tackling 'Alone' by Heart.

Big voice...aged 17......nothing to get excited over personally

Someone mentioned that when she sings..there's no emotion. ..just bland...I would like to add to that....she's not an original! !! Others like her I've seen on these types of shows.....and if they happen to get a contract/song made, thats fine. ..then we don't hear from them again! !!!!

I agree. Also, the praise Simon heaps upon her is ridiculous. There's been far, far better than her on U.S music talent shows, and even on X Factor UK.

Louisa is a phenomenal talent. I think it's very easy to forget she is only 17 years old. To have a voice and stage presence like that at her age is very admirable. She also appears to have a good level head on her shoulders.

I feel we've yet to watch her growth through the competition. Song choices so far, I feel, don't do her justice and have been somewhat boring. We've yet to see the range of her vocal ability and connecting with a song emotionally. Having said that, this could be said for everyone.

In my view Louisa has the potential to outdo Joss Stone in terms of performance and vocal ability and I did/do appreciate Joss Stone's talents.

The problem just now for Louisa is she's extremely young and lacks a bit of authenticity. Sometimes appears a bit over-rehearsed and unnatural. With the right direction and time enabling her to discover herself a bit more she could be tremendous in a few years...

A 17 year old with lungs like hers is extremely rare. Think back to 3 chairs, yes it was more about look what I'm capable of rather than emotionally connective but every other girl sitting there was quaking in their boots. It was written all over their faces.

Give her a little time and the right song...

she's got the looks. can sing in tune. there's something special about her, definitely got X factor!

....but i still can't warm to her. she's not my XF winner, no matter how the show is trying to convince me.

I really like Louisa and she should win, but I worry that Rita Ora may let her down and not showcase her true potential. She would be far better of with Cheryl as a mentor, because she is a girly, girl and would have got on very well with Cheryl.
Cheryl would have brought out the best in her.

I have to agree. I think Louisa would have been much better off in Cheryl's hands, Rita seems to be more about "do this" as opposed to getting to the core of who she is and who she wants to be.

Even Simon would have been a better choice, although he would probably just play it safe with winning songs and commercialising Louisa to the max.

I really struggle to like a contestant who is so obviously being so much favouritism to ensure they win the show.

Little Mix, James Arthur, Sam Bailey, Fleur & now Louisa.

It doesn't mean any of them (except Little Mix obviously) are lacking talent wise, it just leaves a sour taste knowing that there are more talented individuals around who will never get the chance unless they agree to being Musoids.

Louisa is the one remaining decent act left in the show, and will have no trouble in reaching the final.
