So if Gavin turns out to be Sharons father who hopes it goes like this

Margaret: Im sorry to tell you this Sharon but Gavin, well its hard to explain but Gavin is your father.

Sharon: I dont understand, what are you talking about? Your saying Gavin is my dad

Margaret: Yes

Sharon hears a noise and turns. Sees Gavin

Gavin Hello princess

He needs to do the "Just Good Friends" wink and smile as the screen freeze frames on him.

"Hello Princess" was Den's trademark. Nobody else would say it, least of all Gavin, even if he does turn out to be Sharon's biological dad.

Why not? Gavin was a mate of Den's from the same area so why wouldn't he say it?

It's like Mick saying "sorry treacle" when he bumped into Kathy last week.

How would Gavin know about the "princess" nickname for Sharon?

Or Shazza could rock one of her hair explosion wigs, he could fondle them and whisper 'Ello Ringlets...'

I really hope Gavin does turn out to be Sharon's father. I would rather it was him, than a complete stranger. Even though it won't come as much of surprise, it will make for great future storylines.

It's not as if the term "princess" was exclusively Den's... It's used up and down the land by dads.

And Gavin is so obviously Sharon's dad. Synced he was a pal of Den's and Ted Hill, it's not that big a coincidence that he hooked up with Kathy.

Hmm - looks like I was wrong - Den and Gavin said it in much the same way though Gavin was more menacing in his manner.

It's a soap.. don't look for realism. The 'Hello Princess' line was pure, 100% soapy TV cliche... but brilliant too

Well done OP. I've just mentioned you on another thread saying that someone guessed he would use this line.

I hope Margaret is definitely Gavin's sister
