I like peter and was expecting great things from him , but I think he has just been treading water really . He's good-ish , but not great and needs to focus more and get in some extra training . Being middle of the board is all very well but as the numbers go down it's less of a cosy option .
Craig is right , so the comments aren't offensive, just honest . They aren't scathing , just not ass kissing and won't bother peter since he more or less said on tonight's ITT that he needs to up his game and the judges comments help point out where he needs to focus .

The trouble is he keeps saying these things and claiming that he absorbs all the judges' comments and advice, but it doesn't seem to be making any difference! Either he isn't making much effort to improve, or he just isn't very good and can't improve.

Well that's it in a nutshell . If I were to try to excuse him I'd say that doing the new album promotion massively impacted on training . Last week because of scheduled promo appearances he did no training on monday at all , which is very bad . So a full day missed as well as buzzing around between training sessions to various locations doing interviews and promotion . I'm not sure how things work but I assume that's the main thrust of promotion over with and he'll have more time for training . Saturday night will tell the tale .

Moving on, back on topic, PA needs to drastically improve if he wishes to stay in this competition, seriously there are better contestants who leave him in their dust.

Saturday will be interesting indeed, the judges need to score PA realistically which I do not believe has been happening.

It's the choice between cashing in on Strictly and actually buying into Strictly.

Good post! I may be wrong but I can't help but feel that Peter Andre probably thought that being Peter Andre would be enough on this show. It probably isn't. As I mentioned above, the judges seem afraid to give him any proper criticism and it could well come as a nasty shock to him if/when he ends up in the dance-off. I still think he'll make the final but it will probably be a case of the judges trying to get him there a la Simon Webbe and Mark Wright last year, rather than him actually being popular!

The only thing to his advantage is the fact that there are only 3 men left, and so even if he doesn't make it to the final, he'll get quite far into the competition. The nearest comparison is series 10 with Louis Smith, where the second placed man was Nicky Byrne who finished 6th (leaving in the quarters as there were 4 in the final).

The Abomination that is Andre still has two cards to play and I'm pretty sure we will get one of them on Saturday.

He plateaued. He could have improved his technique with another pro; all his dances look more or less the same. Same thing happened with Jake last year and the common dominator is Janette. Potential Contenders are wasted on her imo. Craig is only telling the truth and yes I agree that perhaps he should refrain from speaking about contestants who are still competing but then again he has always done it in the past. ..shrug.....

It's all very well for Craig to say Peter has been disappointing and has no "it factor" (whatever that is) but the only celeb he's given more points to is Helen, so what does that make the entirety of the rest of the cast?

Plus I would say Helen (and Georgia for that matter) have even less 'it factor' than Peter. I guess he is the one that people had expectations of before the show started and, as someone else said, Craig knows who to comment on to get himself in the news.

Well it's fair for Craig to comment, as Peter Andre's PR did about 10 stories about Peter and the show in last few weeks.

I think he would say these things on ITT, but he's probably engaged elsewhere, can't see him missing an opportunity to be on TV darling, so he uses other channels to get the message out there.

Peter's problem is that he's been completely upstaged in this competition.

I'll tell you what, in all the time I've been on DS I have NEVER seen such a spiteful, bile-ridden thread as the Peter Andre thread in Showbiz.

Perhaps some thought could be given to some 'Dis-Appreciation' threads.because to dip into that one (and a dip is all I managed) leaves me with a very nasty impression of some of my fellow fms.

I think CRH makes a good point and I don't have a problem with what he said about Perjury Pete.
After all it was the truth and that is something The Abomination struggles with.

I actually struggle with the whole concept of respect and how it is interpreted.

Peter, and the celebrity dancers, are in a competition, based on contest and critique. They haven't invented a cure for anything, discovered DNA or painted a masterpiece. Even if they had, that isn't relevant to the competition itself. Therefore, Craig, as a judge can criticise - that's his job. He doesn't have to 'respect'.

Well, quite. How to make the over marked look like a victim by calling him a no-mark in one easy PR move.

PA isn't as good as I assumed he'd be. And he has far less charisma and appeal than I assumed he'd have. Don't blame the messenger CRH, nobody automatically deserves respect.
