If this new family turn out slightly more tolerable than the Roscoes and Lomaxes, I can live with them being around.
Not a fan of the new teacher. While we know what Patrick is like, this woman doesn't, all she knows is that he is dying, so if she treats a dying man that way how bad will she be to watch when it comes to her interaction with others?

If Peri isn't ready to be a mother and clearly she isn't, that's fine, people need to respect that and stop pressuring her, but Tom can still keep the baby as he is the father. Exactly. Tom and Peri aren't on their own. Steph can stay part of the family without Peri being a direct mother figure to her. She's got Jack, Frankie, Tom, Darren, Nancy, Leela, Tegan, and despite them being useless twunts, Ste and Cameron.
If it was such a small family, it could be a good idea to give her up. But consieriding the family situation, what's the rush?

If Peri could move back with the Lomaxes (or maybe go into care or get council housing, as she doesn't want to live with Leela or Cameron) and leave Steph with Tom, that would be ideal. But Tom doesn't want her to leave, is angry that she would dare reject the baby, and doesn't seem to want to take care of Steph himself (when he was suspended from school and Peri said at least he could be at home with the baby for a few days, he said no to that and insisted on going back to school ...)
