Oh please let the stupid feud be over.

I was really hoping that Ross was going to tell Debbie to p*ss off last night.

But he didn't... therefore I fear we'll see more aggro between him and Pete. Yawn.

I would love for both Ross and Pete to send Debbie packing. She doesn't deserve either of them.

I was hoping so after last nights ep but i doubt it.

I think the feud is over, at least I hope so. Any more would be flogging a dead horse as far as entertaining drama is concerned. Even though Ross is back with Debbie I think Pete will leave them alone after everything that's happened. A depressing, moody cheating cow like Debbie shouldn't come between the brothers any further. Pete should find someone new, maybe a new character altogether and forget about Debbie. I'd like to see Ross and Chrissie together. I really hope Ross is developed back into being a likeable rogue instead of the miserable sod he's been lately. When he was with Donna I loved him and I'd like that sparky Ross back. I don't think he'll ever be a model citizen and I wouldn't want him to be.

I wonder if Pete will get with Carly. THAT would be a turn up for the books.

I don't really like this Debbie/Ross romance, it seemed to stem from Ross' broken heart over Donna and then all of a sudden it turned real. It still makes no sense to me.

Would pete and Carly make a good fit? I could see David with Carly, not Pete.

I thought about Pete with Carly but changed my mind as she was with Ross before even though it wasn't serious. I don't want to see any lingering looks at Ross over Pete's shoulder.

Yes to David with Carly. They would have better chemistry.

Sadly I think Carly will be saddled with Marlon. What about Chas? To upset Emma.

I want to believe the dreary thing is over, but I doubt it.

I expect for now though, they'll press a reset button on Ross, and we're all expected to go back to loving him and forgetting that he's attempted murder 3 times, the last time yesterday, he's beaten Pete half to death, and enjoyed it. So no, Emmerdale and Ms Oates, no I don't want to go back to seeing him be "cute" with April. You can't switch off being a psycho creep, which is what he is now. You wrote the story, you take the consequences. ”

I completely agree, Kate Oates has gone too far with Ross and there is no redeeming him at this point, the same goes for Robert IMHO. Kate Oates needs to learn with the bad characters sometimes less is more. Right now she has both Ross and Robert making Charity and Cain look like saints.

Pete and Chrissie would be good. Maybe they should have children too. Ross could go back with Carly and abandon the sour faced woman who has no qualms about her children having various uncles and dads.

Carly and Marlon could happen. I'd like a break from Chas to be honest.

I really would like it to be over. There is no redeeming this story, the characters are beyond repair because they are not acting like themselves. It doesn't matter how much they make Ross cry and how many cutesy scenes they put him with April. It doesn't change what he's done and it certainly doesn't show him atoning for those actions.

If Pete miraculously doesn't tell Debbie what Ross did to him when he finds out they're back together then his character is ruined but at least the story will end. Besides, could Kate Oates really resist the potential drama of them all killing each other again?

And Debbie? Well she's just a hypocrite. After everything she put Chas through over Cameron and then she does the same to Pete. Perhaps Pete should have shoved a shotgun in her face.

That would have been just amazing.

That's always been my problem. Way too soon after Donna.

What has Carly ever done to deserve Marlon?

Chrissie is not getting lumbered with that dunderhead.

If they're going to go on trying to kill each other, can they at least do it effectively? Like where they all actually end up dead?

I'd quite like Ross to murder Debbie actually. How shocking would that be? He's clearly totally screwed up, lashes out constantly, and she's stupid enough to take him into hers and the kids' lives time and again. Mega-dark, but really effective. But maybe a bit bold for 7pm.

Given that Kate Oates ripped this story from Hollyoaks' Frindsey it'd be more likely that Debbie become the next serial killer and Ross will be one of her victims.

Would make a good story line but that would mark the end of Debbie and I think no producer will have the guts to get rid of the actress who plays Debbie. She appears to be very popular with TPTB.

Did she? No wonder it's crap then.

True, they'd probably let her get away with it then, I mean Ross has tried to kill Pete twice and Robert has killed twice, attempted to kill chas and Paddy twice

IMHO she did, there are way too many similarities with Frindsey and Debbie/Ross. All we need is to turn Debbie into a serial killer to complete it

The real Bartons were over when Cain slept with Moira, John died and Holly and Hannah left the village

Well, yes, exactly.

If someone actually died, and I'd be happy with either one of them, then it would be worth something. As it is, it's all sensational rubbish that narratively leads nowhere.

I think your Ross & Debbie idea could make for some good drama, perhaps he could go all suicidal and want to take her with him. Though it's a bit like what Cameron did at the end. I don't think it would be too dark if there hadn't been so many stunts this year. The emotion has all but left the show.
