Will all phones with the correct bands get VoLTE on Three? They seem to have picked out just a number of handsets and keep going on about updates.

Is the update just a SIM update from Three or are they manufacturer updates to the handset?

Manufacturer updates are required which is why android devices need be Three branded handsets to work. Where as Apple ones can be be SIM free from Apple.

Not an exact example but I know a previous O2 iPhone 5s which is now unlocked which now uses WiFi Calling on EE. You couldn't do that with Android unless you flashed firmware and even that doesn't always work and lot more hassle.

And it's not a minor thing to be honest I thought Google would of looked to find a solution to it with the latest update but no nothing at all.

On Windows 10 Mobile (Preview) you can now update carrier settings under SIM settings.

Hopefully Three will look further into this one.

Your never ending enthusiasm for Windows Phone is quite touching, but unless you are on Android or iOS you will probably have a looong wait.

Aren't Windows Phone users on Three still waiting for a Three inTouch app?

Chill your beans lads, the original question wasn't ever meant to start a format war.

No format war here, I actually quite like Windows Phone and often recommend it for the older or less techie type of person. The tile system makes for an easy and intuitive system (far better than Android skins like used on phones like the Doro).

It just has limitations with support for apps and support from networks, it's understandable considering it's mediocre sales and poor market segment when compared to iOS or Android.

Fact of life, not an insult.
