Wasn't sure where to put this so started a new thread.

Am I the only person who watches the show every week yet half the time can't really remember who's who? Ruth is obvious because of her clothing mainly, but the majority of them don't seem particularly memorable, at least in the sense that I see them on screen and think "that's *insert name here*", and this is after what, 4 tasks?

Last year within a task or 2 I knew who everyone was, could name them easily, knew who was talking without their name being mentioned etc, but this year, just.......yeah, it's not happening. They just don't seem to have grabbed me as much this year or made themselves as noticeable I suppose.

Maybe a bit of a daft thread, but just wondered if anyone else found themselves thinking "who is that" on a regular basis or things like that.

I'm surprised that you knew who everyone was last year, with 20 candidates.

I think the problem is that there are two many people. 20 was way too many, 18 is still too many, and even though 16 is tolerable, I'd rather there were fewer than that. I thought it was better in the early years when they had 14. The reason it was increased was so that Lord Sugar could do double-firings, but I don't see why they had to increase the number for that. You could still have a double firing with fourteen start with, you'd just have three left at the interviews. (Actually, I would like him to have the leniency to make the decision not to fire anyone sometimes, on occasions like the fitness task in Series 8. So long as there were the right number of candidates to fill all the weeks, that would be fine.)

I think the candidates are more identifiable this year at this stage. Also everyone has been fired with a good showing, whereas twice the number of people had gone at this point last year which was just ridiculous. With 14 out of 18 candidates still in, we have more time to get to know them.

I'm not having much of a problem at the moment but unlike past series' I do think once this series is over I'll struggle to remember any of them bar the winner and the runner up. I wouldn't call any of this years candidates "memorable" Apprentice candidates (with the exception of maybe Ruth) as of yet.
