Her relative short price in the betting is presumably only a reflection of the assumed popularity of Anton. Taking this forum as a guide not even sure that is reliable.”

I hope I'm wrong, though, as Georgia is the one who I pretty much forget is in the show anyway. I suppose it also depends how far the producers want to try and go with the 'Year of the Anton' storyline.”

Don't think the Tour has any affect whatsoever.

The BBC has almost nothing to do with it - apart from a bit of a fee perhaps for using the Strictly name, etc.

Strictly's nothing at all like the X-Factor where the TV programmes, record deals and Tour are all part of Simon Cowell's business.

The Strictly PTB are keen on producing a popular family TV programme which wins the viewing figures for Saturday night. That's it - unless they've started worrying about Bruno

(Think the Live Strictly Tour is actually Craig's baby - linked to his 'proper' job as a West End choreographer. It wasn't started until 2008, 4 years after Strictly started, because of demand from viewers. Even the first Tour had a mixture ofcelebrities from the 2008 and previous series - only a few took part.)

They have plenty to worry about with Bruno.

Not counting Jamelia, I'd guess Helen. I might just be basing this from my own PoV, but I just haven't really got her yet or seen anything that makes her standout.

I think Helen and Georgia both have the potential to drop into the bottom two. Either would be fine if up against one of the lesser dancers but if they were up against each other I'd say Georgia would lose out. Hope not though as I like her and Giovanni. They're just a bit too low key at the moment.

The last tour I went to in 2011 was produced by 'Stage Entertainment UK Ltd & Phil McIntyre Entertainments in Association with BBC worldwide' - I don't know if this has changed since to remove the BBC bit. Richard Curwen from the BBC still seems to be heavily involved every year. I have no idea if the tour influences departures on the show, but I think the BBC probably have a bit more interest in the tour than is generally suggested on here. It is done under the 'Strictly' name and stars all their pros and judges, it gets quite a lot of coverage in the papers these days and will reflect on their show. I should think most people who go or read about it are under the impression that it is run by the BBC even if it isn't. I don't think they'd just leave them to it.

Georgia might be the first contender to end in the dance off. If she's up against anyone other than Jeremy, Carol, Kirsty or Jamelia I suspect she will be eliminated.

Kellie, Peter or Georgia (first two are not liked that much and the other is very bland)

My ratings are

Very good to good
Peter, Jay, Anita, Helen, Kellie,

Reasonable
Katie, Georgia

Not great
Carol, Jeremy, Kirsty, Jamelia

So on that basis, I would say Georgia will be the first reasonable dancer to go

People saying who would beat Georgia would lose out to in a dance-off... did you think Simon would beat Pixie last year?

The way I see it, Georgia is still improving. She hasn't had a bad week yet, so if it was her against Katie and Katie had a latin dance, Katie would probably get the chop. But I think Georgia could potentially be able to beat most of the others if she keeps making steady progress, and of course anyone could have a dis-ah-ster!

Just to clarify I had Carol, Jeremy, Jamelia and Kirsty as potential dance-off contenders each week and then the rest.

Really surprised that people think Katie would beat Georgia in a dance off. If you score a low 20 that is barely good enough to beat the four mentioned above.

Week 2: Katie & Anton 28 for tango, Georgia & Gio 25 for waltz
Week 4: Katie & Anton 33 for VW, Georgia & Gio 31 for QS

It really depends on the dance performed. For the paso versus tango scenario this weekend, it could go either way if it came to a dance off between them.

The BBC is only 'in Association'. The Live Tour is produced by Stage Entertainment - which has produced things like Hairspray and Mama Mia - and Phil McIntyre Entertainment which manages a lot of comedians and is producing The Commitments musical.

Well yes, the BBC owns the name and the 'style' of Strictly and won't want it tarnished. Things like that are controlled by BBC Worldwide - where Richard Curwen is an executive.

It's not like Simon Cowell and the X Factor where it's all part of his business ventures.

The Strictly judges and Pros too aren't actually employed by the BBC. They have a contract for the Strictly TV show - it's why they aren't 'sacked' when the producers of the TV show don't renew their contacts. What they do otherwise is up to them.

I did think Craig had more to do with it in the beginning, but he has a lot to do with West End theatre work.

Here are all the celebrities' average scores. Jamelia and Katie are quite close to eachother in terms of scores, so are Jay and Kellie. Georgia is ranked higher than Katie and Jamelia but they all have the potential to beat eachother.

1 Helen & Aljaž 31.4
2 Jay & Aliona 30.6
2 Kellie & Kevin 30.6
4 Peter & Janette 29.8
5 Anita & Gleb 28.4
6 Georgia & Giovanni 28.2
7 Katie & Anton 25.8
8 Jamelia & Tristan 25.0
9 Kirsty & Brendan 22.6
10 Jeremy & Karen 19.6
11 Carol & Pasha 19.2

Here are the rankings of Katie, Jamelia and Georgia over the last 5 weeks.

Week 1: 1st- Georgia(27)
2nd- Katie(26)
3rd- Jamelia(21)

1st- Katie(28)
2nd- Georgia(25)
3rd- Jamelia(21)

1st- Georgia(27)
2nd- Jamelia(25)
3rd- Katie(20)

1st- Katie(33)
2nd- Jamelia(32)
3rd- Georgia(31)

1st- Georgia(31)
2nd- Jamelia(26)
3rd- Katie(21).

If Katie gets a latin vs Jamelia Ballroom, Jamelia could beat her and vice versa. If Katie gets a latin vs Jamelia Latin, Jamelia could beat her and if If Katie gets a Ballroom vs Jamelia Ballroom, Katie would beat her. Jamelia is significantly improving to the point where she could beat Katie. Jamelia only beat Georgia one week though, so in a DO, Georgia probably

I agree, Georgia is the most consistent in her dancing

and this is a bad week for her, because she has got a bad cold.

but she's learning a heel lead

ITV girl on Strictly, and with a new dancer? I think Georgia may be the first contender to go.

what does ITV has to do with Dancing?

but it's your opinion, only i can't see it happening.

i think Katie or Helen could be a shock exit ( Katie because of Anton's Lack in Latin) and Helen's lack of big fanbase ( so one bad dance and she's in the dance off)

Sadly Georgia,

Id rather Katie went though as I think overall Georgia is stronger.

I'm not a Helen fan, but I don't think she's going anywhere unless she ends up in a dance-off with Jay and I really can't see that happening.

sorry i'm dutch, i mean to say that i can see Helen being in the Bottom with Katie, and than Katie would be eliminated.

meaning Katie would be the first reasonable dancer to go

Me neither. And how do we know Helen doesn't have a fan base? (As stated in the comment your responded to) She is in a hugely popular drama and one popular with the demographic that tend to vote on TV shows. I have no idea what any of their fan-bases are, so don't know why its claimed that Helen doesn't have one.

Nothing specifically, but ITV folk on the Beeb and vice versa sometimes seem to drum up fewer public votes.
