Why does any celeb turn up for these (you might get a) meal anyway? Do they get paid? I'm thinking they do. (But I have a cynical side)

Get homeless people in - they won't mind waiting and would cause a riot if they didn't eventually get something to eat!

You could well be right

However, as most of the guests are Z-list celebs, maybe they just go for the free publicity on prime-time TV, the free booze, and the free meal (if they're lucky)

Am lovin' the nic M. Tourette. How smart is that then

Why would anyone want to eat grubs in the jungle when they can drink free wine in HK?

Understandable though, he had ordered duck which Simon had burned and then had to re order as they had run out. He then asked for Salmon well done and was given it underdone. The others on the table asked for well done steaks and they too received underdone, so the whole table had been messed around.

I've come to the conclusion that the whole format is confusing. As the ITV1 show is live you've got AD in the restaurant surrounded by TONIGHT's celebrity diners but the VTs etc and all the narrative is about LAST NIGHT in the kitchen / restaurant.

Then the ITV2 shows you jump back to real time, but with flashbacks to earlier in the evening (eg NA's interviews with guests as they come in.

As it's all happening in the same setting, my brain just can't keep up with what happened when.

Its confusing enough to make sure that as an audience we have to accept the editors version of events rather than the live real events so they can play up any drama they might need to boost ratings
