Hollyoaks - Sally St Claire

What does everyone think of the new character Sally St Claire played by Annie Wallace in Hollyoaks?

I'm really liking her so far. It's about time someone stamped some authority on the school!

Not at all likable but quite well acted.

I think her hard strict character is necessary at the moment.

Probably as time goes on we'll see her soften or find out why she is so uptight.

Quite liked her few scenes in todays C4 ep. Hope shes in long term, and not just to do with Patrick's exit, and then we don't see her again. Hope they keep her on as a full time character after.

I'm sure someone will tut at me for this but I wonder if her character is meant to be a trans or cis female

No means to cause offence but she reminds me of Mrs Doubtfire

BiB as I recall one of Patrick's first actions in the soap was stamping on the bullies in the Esther SL, how ironic was that? But first impression of him was somebody responsible and in control. Actually fair play to the character Patrick as a professional was mostly ok it was just his personal life that was a mess.

I'm thinking Sally will be a mid length term character (not a Big Bob or Big Boob) perhaps longer depending how it pans out. She definitely has a back story and potentially a lot to offer. Her coming in heavy handed is not inconsistent with the way many teachers and bosses first handle things, show 'em who is boss then soften up once the ground rules have been established.

I actually stopped watching during the Esther bullying period. And have only dipped in and out since.

But it was nice to see a softer side to Sally in the latest ep

she reminds me of the demon headmaster in that she looks normal and kindly but is actually evil

I am sure some of the comparisons are offensive...

I thought she was good and it is about time someone knocked Patrick off his perch MND or not.
