What a total gentlemen Jeremy is, his message made me well up. I have loved watching Jeremy, he is, right or wrong of it, every entertaining, and I have seen improvement week on week.
Jeremy you are now 'one of my favourites' (next to Anita)

What a gent, he always makes me smile, and I love his enthusiasm. I hope that he lasts a few more weeks, and I would love to see him at Blackpool.

What a smart, charming man! I love how enthusiastic he's about the show and what it brings to his life. His bts diaries are warm and show how much he enjoys it all. His partnership with Karen is one of my favorites, ever, on the show.
Shame on those people who felt the need to contact Jeremy to let him know he should quit. |

Anita and Jeremy are my favourites to watch.
Jeremy makes up for his lack of dance prowess with his gorgeous personality and enthusiasm! |

Is there some sort of "I've fallen in love with Jeremy Vine" support group?

Lets be realistic, as a long-time BBC employee, (for the best part of thirty years) , hoping no doubt that his exposure on this programme will lead to presenting more programmes, (can't blame him for that) he's hardly going to slag off any of his detractors on something as unimportant and trivial as social media, is he?
Look how damaging to his career it could be? It'd end up in the tabloids. |

The thing about Jeremy is he doesn't mess about, and try to be funny; he takes the dancing seriously and works really hard to get it right - which, believe me, is as much as any dance teacher can ask. He also does his utmost to perform, which isn't easy for someone who is basically a newsreader/presenter, as opposed to an actor or performer.
The sad fact is that no matter how hard someone tries, there are some who just haven't got "it"; in the same way as - even with training - not everyone can sing, or run fast enough to win an Olympic Gold, some can, some can't! However, I do feel that if Jeremy enjoys the dancing, he should continue after Strictly. With his attitude, if he started at the beginning, either in a class, or with a teacher of his choosing, he could take whatever time he needed to learn the basics, instead of having to learn an entertaining routine in a few days, I honestly think he could be a decent dancer. Not competition level perhaps, but certainly someone who anyone would be proud to dance with. In the meantime he is a thoroughly nice guy, who, while his dancing may not be a good as some of the others, always brings a smile to my face. |

Gosh, I think I'm a little in love with Jeremy. He's intelligent, articulate, generous and dapper.

That's a lovely response - must admit I've never been a real fan of Jeremy's prior to Strictly and I was expecting to think that I'd be glad to see the back of him when he gets voted out, but I'm now completely the opposite and will really miss his gentle charm when he goes.

Agree with all of you. What a lovely polite reply to a nasty message from 'Martin'. Hope he sees this and feels ashamed. I love Jeremy's message about not giving up even if you aren't that good. I have been giving him a vote each week because I like his attitude
I really hope he stays a few more weeks before the good ones start going. I never liked John Sergeant and I'm not sure that he really tried that much but with Jeremy you can definitely see that he does his best. Bless him. |

Such a gent. He's so far from being the best dancer (and he knows that!), but I love his enthusiasm and that, for me, is worth more than being great, but boring.

![]() Well, him & Katie. ![]() But if Jeremy stayed in at the expense of Katie I wouldn't mind. Or vice versa. Or if either of them went it would be ok. I don't get too partisan. There's noone I really dislike. |

He may not be in the Dance off for weeks and other far better Dancers will go but its the same every year, perhaps middle aged Females should be banned for voting for a week.

Same for me to some extent. Two "no fuss" personalities!

I love both of them, and their partnerships with Karen & Anton, because their joy at just being there and particpating in what must be a wonderful experience is palpable. They have the same sort of vibe that Michael Vaughan and Natalie had.

Kudos to Jeremy for that - a really heartfelt and polite reply - the sign of a true gentleman.
One of my online votes will no doubt be winging his way on Saturday. |
