The Windass' clan were kitchen thieves and had a family member who thought he was out of Oasis, but was blissfully unaware he looked like someone who hangs around a betting shop.

They started to level out, but then Faye was brought in and that's where it went downhill again. I do like Gary though, but unfortunately because of Alya he will now become shouty Gary again.

Anna was vile to begin with, mellowed down for a while when she started working at the cafe, and then the adoption fiasco turned her into a naggy bint.

Personally I liked the Windass family in the beginning. David was such a little runt that I actually was glad they bothered the Platt family (and the delusional Gail).

I always remember that time David got Gary to rob Audrey's house and have him sent down. After a couple of months in prison Gary jumped David and gave him a beating in revenge. Good times.

About consequences, what happened to Anna claiming poverty and going to food banks? Something that happened in 1 episode and never mentioned again.

I never liked Anna. in fact I never liked any of the Windasses, scruffy thieving soap dodgers and when Eddie left and they brought in that miserable excuse for a kid in Faye, it went even further down the tubes. Maybe it wouldn't have been so bad if the girl playing Faye could act, unfortunately, she couldn't and still can't, exactly like her RL cousin Sawfie. Throwing yourself around, scowling and acting like a two year old when she cannot get her way, exactly like Sawfie.

Hope Kate Oates gets rid of her ASAP when she takes over. Send her to Canada to make the babyfather's life unbearable and give us a break. Another ridiculous s/l to shoehorn this horrible family, Owen was the only decent one and he could act which made a change.

The Windasses were awful when they moved in IMO and I couldnt stand any of them (not even Gary- you wouldnt believe it today)! After Gary went to prison and then came back and went into the army his character was given new storylines to tackle and he improved vastly, showing a different side to him. His PTSD SL was well done as well and from then on I have thought the character was great.

Anna I didnt like then I liked for a bit and now I dont like again.

Didn't like Faye to start with but I actually think shes been good recently, the teen birth SL (even if it was a rehash of Sarah Lou) was well acted right up to the birth, its just a shame the writing and SOR's after Miley was born let it down.

Owen Armstrong was good.
