I think this is the best series in a while

I don't often post in the SCD forum, but I must say, I've thoroughly enjoyed this series so far.

The celebs have been fantastic - not only were they decent names, but very different and engaging personalities.

Also, each one is going on their own journey, most of which are very interesting - I am really enjoying the unpredictability of Katie and Jamelia, and it is never obvious who'll be in the dance-off.

Tess and Claudia are great together.

It just seems like the momentum is about right this year, and everything's going well.

It's much better than last year I have to say. Think the fact SCD lost at the NTAs in January has been a great wake up call for SCD to do better this year.

It's by far the best series since... well, the year before last.

I think it's been a good fun opening but I hope they find a way to plough through the probable Kirsty/Jamelia/Carol boots in a way that doesn't feel like a trudge. Or that we go unpredictable and those aren't the next three out.

I agree and one of the most competitive I think. It's certainly wayyyy better than last year. I hated last year.

It is a very good series thus far, I agree, but I am not enjoying the judges, they appear out of kilter, and frankly irritated, and not really giving constructive criticism. Uncomfortable to watch, they need to be told to rein it in.

Best for me Series 11 in which the lovely Abbey won, had me animated from start to end. Loved it.

I'm really enjoying this series too. I've never bothered tuning in to ITT before but this year I can't get enough! I'm loving the new pros - they've injected a bit of freshness into the line up. I love Claudia too. There are a good handful of really able celebrities as well. It's definitely one of my favourite series so far.

Wheras TXF is officially crap now, nobody is interested in it anymore really.

I personally think this is a good year, perhaps because there are quite a few "good" dancers and the others are trying hard and it seems to show. However, I am getting a little fed up with the focus placed on the judges, for example their entrances - but I suppose "that's entertainment".

Yes, I gave up on that a long time ago!

It's my favourite series since series 10. Although both winners will have been obvious from very early on in Louis and Jay.

Wheras last year and the year before there wasn't really an obvious candidate for the win.

I agree with last year TP, but I think the previous year Natalie was definitely the front runner.

I agree ,it just has a great feel to it . Everyone seems to be really getting into it and as has been said, they have engaging personalities . My only niggle is some of the pro dances are becoming a bit cheesy .

I believe Natalie, sophie and susannah took it in turns of whom was bookies fave, but abbey was never bookies fave and ppl voted on her respective journey which I believe she made the biggest strides in. I thought she was the most honest one of them all.

There does seem to be a great camaraderie between all the pros and celebs this year. They all seem to genuinely like one another. It just has that feel good factor to it.

I'm enjoying the lack of cringe dances.

Film Week was also the most successful and least gimmick-filled theme week I can recall.

It's all a bit subjective.

But whatever it is, it's better family entertainment for a Saturday night than anything has been during the rest of the year and that says the same for any year in the last ten years or so on any channel.

I adored Film Week which culminated in the best jive I have ever seen.
It was magic.

Looks like I spoke too soon- tonight's Hallowe'en show was really flat.

And I actually muted the judge's comments on Carol's dance because it was too painful to bear and didn't even have humour value. Tumbleweed moment.
