Most folks mobiles these days are worth about 300 upwards so I suppose twenty quid phones will have to do for eastenders

They should have the actors use their own, it always takes me out of the scene.

In Corrie they all have Windows phones, I assume it's a form of sponsoring. But why would EE be sponsoring 12 year old phones? Not sure about ED.

I was really impressed by the presence of several smartphones tonight. Not a Nokia 3210 to be seen. Has a Carphone Warehouse been opened on the site of Masala Queen?

It's a shame we can't go back to the days of tv where it didn't matter, if you had a can of strongbow in the background no one was going to sue your ass.

Kathy's phone in particular is an absolute howler. Did she get that before she left for South Africa?

I have a theory that there are only two mobile phones in Walford and they all have them on a rota system. This is why every number known to man is programmed into them.

Apart from Lee's, since Whitney appears to dial his entire number when she wants to speak to him.

Is Ben's phone a Lumia? Kathy's looks like it's from The Ark.

Also when Kathy was in the Vic and saw a phone ringing on the table misbelieving it was hers it in fact turned out to be one of the Vic's customer's phone who was in fancy dress. That phone model was similar to Kathy's yet it was a young woman who picked the phone up. i find it hard to believe that woman would have such a basic model

I laughed so hard when that young woman picked up that brick off the bar in front of Kathy. What is this, 2004?

The BBC us funded by the public, having any product placement could be seen as advertising which is a nono on the BBC Charter

I remember Max Branning had something that resembled an iPhone... only the noises they added in were from a Nokia circa 2002.

Good point. I assumed it was Aunty Babe's or Dot's.

Its actually quite jarring how old the phones are, it looks ridiculous so many of them still have bricks when smartphones are so accessible nowadays.

Rebecca had a htc, Ben had a Nokia Lumia and Phil I've seen with a Huawei phone and Ronnie, Ian and Jane I've seen with smart phones.
