Just in the last week, my Humax Foxsat HDR has started missing the beginnings of recordings, sometimes it will only record the last 15 minutes of an hour-long show. The programmes always stop at the right time though.

Programmes on More4, BBC One, Channel 4 HD.

I don't know if this is because of the box or the start signal from the broadcaster.

I've tried turning off the box via the power switch at the back for a bit, to no effect.

Currently, I have the beginnings set to 'manually' start (with a bit of padding) to try and fix this.

Anyone else run into this problem recently?

Can't say I've noticed any issues with mine (Cambridge postcode) More 4 is a national channel, I don't think Ch4 HD has regional versions like the SD channel, although I could well be wrong.

You don't say which version of BBC1 you are using.

Even the HD channel seems to have versions on both channel 108 and and 972 for England (they are different because often the sound will go out of sync, badly, or be replaced by a Northern Ireland soundtrack, complete with local on screen announcer, which is about 5 secs behind the England picture, just before the One Show, whereas switching to 972 it's fine), plus, of course, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland versions.

Of course the SD version has many regional variations.

It may be CRID issues with a specific region.

Have it not got padding so you can add some time before and after the recording?

Where are you? (There are 4 national BBC ONE variants.)

BUT my Foxsat HDR has not exhibited any such recording issues (BBC ONE England HD) ... so it's likely a reception type issue... or other 'bug' in your recorder, if you are in England.

Worth doing a 'default setting' of the PVR probably... although you need to back up your scheduled recording list as that is deleted... to see if that helps with the problem.

972 is exactly the same transmission as BBC 1 HD England you have on 108, it just has a repeated LCN (Logical channel number) Its 10847 V.

On a freesat HD box you can move any of the 4 variants to lcn 108 using customised channels.
