I am rewatching BB7, when I watched it intially in 2006, I wasn't a Suzie fan. I wasn't not a fan either, she was just "there".

But having watch the series again, I think she handled the water throwing incident wonderfully, she was elegant and poised, she didn't get angry, or shout or get upset.

You're certainly no lady, Grace.

She did handle it well that has to be said. Looking back on it now all these years later with the benefit of hindsight, it is rather ironic to note that the one hm that really kicked off about the drink throwing, has recently herself thrown her drink at someone on TV !

Susie was always my "guilty pleasure" housemate as absolutely nobody else seemed to like her.

Always thought it was a wasted opportunity for her not to be voted into the house next door and have to live with Grace, Lea and Nikki for a few days. Certainly would have better than Mikey,

It's funny because Susie had been stuck in those clothes provided by BB all week so she probably wasn't that bothered about something being thrown on them. If she was she hid it well.

She had Aisleyne to fight her corner though and it's hard to picture what would have happened without Aisleyne there as everyone else just stood there staring. Would there have been an awkward silence without Aisleyne there to kick up a fuss? I don't remember hearing a peep out of Richard.

I think she did handle it well. I think she was spot on when she said, "all it does is show bad sportsmanship and the only person that looks silly is Grace".

Definitely took it well. Other housemates would have milked it for all its worth.

There is not much she could do really but she did handle it well. "Your no lady Grace"
The only ones that were really bothered about it was Aisleyne and Richard, Suzy was looking forward to getting her own clothes.

Still one of my favourite moments of BB, "shut up you moose" is another good line from the whole debacle.

To think how hated Grace was but we now have Helen Wood as a winner, a woman I think is far worse.

Suzie would have got a long fine with Lea and Nikki but yes a missed opportunity for Suzy to confront Grace in the HND. But clearly she wasn't going to get enough votes to get back in over Mikey.

Aisleyne did that part for her.


Richard wasn't very bothered by it. He even re-enacted it with Jennie later and asked Aisleyne if she wanted to try it, describing it as "liberating".

she handled it well, wonder if we will ever see anything like that again in a live show?

I didn't like Suzie at all. This is a woman who had a daughter slightly older than Grace (who was 20 at the time), heard the ill will towards her, and threw her to the wolves. She was never going to give Grace a chance and didn't.

That Suzie was a woman of 40+ and gleefully and fully participated in the demonisation of a young female (who was just immature and bitchy) of her daughter's age is shameful.

40 year old Richard was the bitchiest housemate and excuses were made for him.

Fast forward a couple of years, bitchy Caroline, Becky and Ashleigh's (all aged 20/21) behaviour was blamed on their age (by the public). In contrast, Grace was shouted down when she attributed her behaviour to her age and that she was still growing up.

I don't think Susie could have been any more respectful than she was. Which probably wound up Grace even more and made her reaction look even more ridiculous.

Plus Grace was already sabotaging herself with her anger towards the twist and poor history when it comes to not welcoming newbies (Aisleyne, Sam). If all Susie really was doing was aiming to please the public then she took a risk putting Nikki up too since Nikki was quite popular.

I certainly don't think Susie has anything to feel shameful for, Grace and Nikki's behaviour afterwards showed it was a good choice. Grace had to take responsibility for her own actions, though it's not like she's even been treated the worst. Not many people get a 2nd time in the house.

Ok, here goes.
I wasn't much of a Suzie fan but mostly because she seemed so dull and pointless and a waste of a good idea. Assuming it wasn't a fix, it was really an odd coincidence that the one Golden HM chosen, happened to be the only one of the 30+ to have gotten so far in the audition process on not one but three occasions.
As for Grace, as far as I could see, Suzie had no ill will towards her initially and had no idea that she was the only one nominating that week so she was hardly 'throwing her to the wolves.
And as for maturity, only a few weeks beforehand, Grace was moaning about how immature Nikki was, compared to her, despite being 4 years younger than Nikki. She only started getting stroppy and bitchy when the Plastics game plan, started falling apart.
The water throwing incident was just the final vindication of Suzie's nomination.

Agree with you on that one, she was always going to nominate Grace and probably suspected she was the only one who would nominate. She put her up against Nikki to seal her fate. Grace was only 20 and I felt sorry for her as it was obvious she was the one that the crowd chanted to get out and Suzie obliged!

Though if Susie knew Grace was really that unpopular then why bother putting her up against someone popular? She could have put her up against anyone. If she really wanted to be spiteful it could have been Grace vs Mikey.

Truth is, Grace's attitude made Susie's choice very easy for her.

What crying because she heard the chants "Get Grace Out" in the garden. Also while knowing she had to suck up to Suzie to not be nominated was mostly seen crying to Mikey as she was not able to comprehend why the public didn't like her. She was after all just 20 years old and Suzy didn't make any effort what so ever towards her. Suzie showed no compassion what so ever towards Grace. I think Suzy could work it out she was the only one nominating and put her up against Nikki who she knew wouldn't go. Remember Suzie's conversation with Nikki in the garden saying she would like to tell her why she nominated Nikki but can't trying to re-assure her she wasn't going anywhere.

Grace never really put in the effort to welcome Susie though, she hated losing all the power she had built up in there. Perhaps Susie found it hard talking to a face of thunder.
Plus I'm not sure what compassion Susie could have shown her, apart from not nominating her, but then that would mean someone else going up and Susie would have had to face the backlash from that decision too. Grace had the chance to save herself and even got given a lifeline by BB with the standing on a box task for immunity, which is fitting for a dancer like Grace.

It was obvious Susie found Nikki annoying as she would nominate her again just 2 weeks later. If she was simply using Nikki to get Grace out then there were much easier ways to do it, Nikki is quite an unstable character and would obviously kick up a fuss.

Yes Grace did have the chance to save herself and should of never agreed to get off the box. If it wasn't her it would have been Lisa put up. I don't think Suzie really found Nikki annoying at all as she took the time to try and comfort her in the garden that week. Anyway Suzie's nominations gave Nikki her famous catchcry "who is she, who is she where did you find her!"

Not welcoming newbies had never been an issue before. People adopted Ricard's propaganda line because they already disliked the "plastics".

Aisleyne and Sam weren't even all that welcoming to each other. Aisleyne nominated Sam. Sam had Ash going to the DR in tears at one point, and talking of leaving the show.

How does being a dancer mean that being unable to move very much for long periods was "fitting"? It was actually a very poor choice if the aim was to give Grace a "lifeline".

Like I said, Susie was as dignified and respectful as someone could be and simply completed a twist that was forced on her. It's obvious that any decision she made would have been 'wrong' in some way to someone.

Grace was already thinking the worst as soon as Susie entered, what with Sezer's eviction and the crowd chants, Grace was becoming angrier and more suspicious as the days went on. I don't think Grace realized how intimidating that can be or how noticeable it was to people.


Grace clearly had alot of influence and allies. She relied on that protection, but this twist completely took that away from her.

She was used to being on her feet for very long periods of time and would have very strong leg muscles. She proved on that circus show that she could balance on hoops and balls. Therefore a box would be no problem.
As lifelines go it almost worked as Grace came down to a 50/50 chance of being safe, only to be thwarted by drawing the short straw and having to give it to Lisa.

Im currently re-watching BB7 also and I'm currently on Day 73 (nearly there). In hindshight Suzie is actually one of my favourite housemates in that series, as she was so different from the others and not the typical Big Brother Housemate. She was also very polite and handled herself very well. I know Glynn and Mikey used to call her "boring" but I think it was just the age gap that created tension
