Anyone else really surprised by comeback? I had him written off, he was the rage for a few years. After all the negative publicity he had and it was kinda uncool to like him after his last album. Now he is nearly as big as he was when he was a teen star and is relevant again. I though everyone was finished with Justin Bieber. I though he had lost his appeal and was nearly seen as a has been, but his comeback has been pretty big..I suppose the music is fairly good so it helps

I think he made a good transition from teen star to more mature artist, his music has improved. And also he is influenced by electronic music which is very popular nowadays.

However, it looks like he went back to his back behavior - leaving the concert just because the fans spilled water on the stage is just so ridiculous and childish, all that "good" humble acting just looks fake now.

They played the audio of this incident on the radio this morning and to a point I can kind of see where he was coming from. The audience were not listening to him and kept screaming and trying to grab him even though there seemed to be a health and safety issue. I think in some ways it was right to make it clear that this rabid fan behaviour isn't acceptable. It seems to have gotten worse over the years in relation to artists like Justin, One Direction, 5 Second of Summer... and I feel it should not be encouraged.

That said, it doesn't sound like he handled it the best way.

Well I can give or take his new single Sorry. I think it's better than What Do You Mean? which typically becomes his biggest UK hit whilst I think it's really average (it's not crap but that's not saying much).

The song that did surprise me was Where Are You Now? which I was so quick to dismiss as pure rubbish but when I finally heard it, I thought it was a surprisingly good song.

Why not just take a step back and sing from further back on the stage then?

I'm not surprised really!! I absolutely detested the bloke at the height of his popularity back when he was a teeny bopper and didn't like a single song he released.

Now he's a matured artist that still has his following but now appealing to a wider audience with his new sound and I actually really like his latest songs and I've bought them.

Good for him

I'm surprised that he's risking ruining it for himself all over again by starting to act like a knob again. His work is getting better as his albums go on and his music at least is maturing, even if his attitude isn't.

Artists always make a big initial return after bad press/a breakdown. Mariah, Britney, Justin. Due to these things being well documented even if they are personally awful for the actual person and not calculated on their part.
There is nothing better in pop music than a comeback success story or someone seeing the error of their ways or at least appearing publically to. (Justin)

Because he's releasing his album the same week as One Direction? I'm sure he'd rather fight that battle and avoid 25 than be crushed in it's wake.

Watching him on TFI and other interviews lately he seems as souless and robotic as ever, with no shred of personality at all. He is like Brithey, dead behind the eyes, with not a single inch of nomality in him. His musics still crap aswell.

I like the fact hes relevant now, working with great producers but aside from that, he makes their records sound great too, so its really a two way thing. Of course EDM is the new pop in the states and they music in the electronic genre is a lot more challenging than the mainstream rubbish churned out by One D, so we can be thankful that hes not that. He probably is still quite horrendous as a person, I dont know i dont know him personally. But I for one am looking forward to his new album Yeah im a Believer

some dick pics were conveniently leaked, to send social media into a frenzy the same time the single came out.

I really like his new song & I rarely like anything 21st century, I swear if I was 20 years younger then I'd fancy him.

He's been unbelievably unlucky regarding who has decided to release more or less at the same time, I guess, but to be fair his 'new' music is a step in the right direction.

Never was a fan of his earlier stuff! Too childish for me. However, I've liked his last two singles. He's doing a Justin Timberlake by releasing more mature music as his audience grows with him. JT released R&B pop . Biebs is doing EDM, the current popular music. He's the right age to be relevant, has a huge fan base and the best producers, songwriters and advertising marketers in the world so not surprising really.

Him and One Direction releasing their albums on the same week will be an interesting barometer of those fanbases. I'm far from being a fan of either but Beiber has had a couple of good singles recently while One Direction's material this time around has been a step down.

I actually thought his last album wasn't that bad. He had a good couple of singles, Boyfriend and All Around The World mainly, but he's stepped up with Purpose so far.

One Direction kind of had me with Steal My Girl and Night Changes from the last album but this album, from the songs we've heard, seems like an album created just to get out of the contract.

It could end up increasing both of their sales.

There's the added inconvenience of '25' being released so soon after, meaning neither act will get a chance of any sort of sustained run at #1

Agreed. Steal My Girl is a genuinely good song and their other albums at least had some catchy radio cheese but this stuff has been pretty generic. Perfect is beyond bland. However, I hear that they are beating Beiber on pre-orders pretty well. Perhaps weaker singles will mean their album lacks longevity but it's a one week shootout anyway, for obvious reasons.

Oh yeah, Adele is going to kill it for the rest of the year with 25. It could well sit at no.1 until 2016 with everyone else picking up the scraps. Would it be mad to suggest that her second single will be what knocks Hello off the top spot?

I think the hype of it being their last album for a while may do something for them. They haven't coped with the loss of Zayn very well at all IMO. Even Steal My Girl now sounds flat without his vocals.

It all depends on how long it takes her to get single 2 out. If she put out it out on the same date as the album she might hold 1 and 2 on singles and 1 on album. I'm not sure we will see another single this year though.

I can easily see her sitting at #1 with 25 well into 2016 though.

And off topic so I apologise, please come back to WWE. The place is dull!

No. The public like to knock someone down but they also like to see someone make a big comeback. It was his turn to achieve that.
