I meant to add: Jennie McAlpine has come in for a bit of criticism for her acting of Fiz's storyline but there was a letter in Inside Soap the other week from a mother going through something similar in real life, who was offended by the view that she's not looking upset enough, and said that eventually you do get cried out. I think they were kind of going for that view this week: That, horrible as it is, Hope's situation has become "normal" to them and they're just muddling through rather than moping and crying all the time.
