Someone speculated that one possible direction for Bobby was that he does something nasty to Denny forcing Sharon to squeal.

However another possibility - Bobby and Denny do a crime of some sort and Denny takes the rap again forcing Sharon's hand.

I think judging by the camaraderie they supposedly had last night, your second options very likely. I can't quite see the writers having the nerve to go down a Jamie Bulger style story, but maybe a mugging or something like that.
