Just to quote myself: I don't agree with what she did and I've written what my disagreement is with those who have made such remarks. I won't repeat it again; it's there to be read and I don't want the thread to be closed because it descends into inappropriate fighting. IF Jamelia knew what you know then that makes her actions worse but I can think of better people to burn in hell for their actions than her. Hope that makes sense and it's the end of my comments because none of this has anything to do with dancing or SCD.

I felt so bad for both of them. I think one person starts the internet hat and the hate mob gets bigger. Honestly how shallow. She reminded me of a little kid who really feels bad because people don't like her/him.

IMO the decision was an obvious one, and before the show I found Jamelia annoying and liked Kirsty.”

Jamelias dancing was very poor.

Her actual jive was so poor in execution, she was flat footed, had no bounce at all and it was a bad jive. Forget what the judges said, she was VERY overmarked. I question if Kirsty should have gon really, but hers wasn't great either.

What I came to the thread to say was she really believes she is better then she is, she thinks she was only in the dance off as she isn't liked, well her dancing ability is poor to go with it. She was bemused at being in the bottom two!

Never heard of that singer.
Won't be rushing to hear him again.

Aw, I have fond memories of Mark. I suppose he would have been considered a "duffer" but I found him much more entertaining than either Jeremy or Carol this year. His salsa remains one of my favourite Strictly dances of all time. Iveta was brilliant with him.

You need to get a cream for that pronto!

I am a vegetarian and belong to WWF. I have a rescue cat and a rescue dog. I don't believe your story. Have you got evidence?

Well said!

I find Jeremy very entertaining as I do Jay, Helen and Georgia. Carol though, can't see the appeal at all, its just slow and boring.

Except they always claim it is based solely on the dance off performance.
I saw Kirsty rectify mistakes.
I thought Jamelia was sloppier.
Anyone technical here can shed a light as to what I am not seeing?

Did Jamelia actually say on Loose Women she handed the dog into a police station? Or is this chinese whispers?

Sorry to see Kirsty & Brendan go but pleased she improved in the dance off.I do feel the make-up didn't do them any favours.I was hoping they could have had another week - thought Carol maybe in the do - & Kirsty could have gone out on ballroom.

I think people tend to exaggerate her comments regarding obesity. I just watched the video and she said the same thing as Janet Street-Porter who seemingly received no backlash. She even said she doesn't support size 0 clothing being sold.

Rumours spread by someone who has got it in for Jamelia. Where is the evidence, film clip, or even Jamelia saying it.

I don't think that is the case at all. Last week she even said 'I deserve to be in the bottom two,' they aren't the words of someone who thinks they are better than they are.

She was giggling when she was announced as bottom two to save face IMO.

Do you have any evidence to corroborate your claim?

I certainly looked when you first posted it, and couldn't find anything and at least one other FM tried too and came up empty handed.

Totally agree. Jamelia is being torn to shreds and do we know what she actually did with the dog?

Yay, the Jamelia witch-hunt has started again. And the person who said she should burn in hell should be ashamed of themselves.

Consistently better is irrelevant. Leaderboard scores are irrelevant. What matters - or should matter - is how they dance in that dance-off.

Jamelia was scored higher originally a) because she was ridiculously overmarked, and b) because Kirsty made several mistakes, one of them quite major. In the dance-off she didn't make that big mistake, so I don't think there was much if anything in it.

Don't get me wrong, I didn't *like* Kirsty's Charleston. It lacked energy and fun for me. But I hated Jamelia's jive even more. This was the first dance-off decision this year that I felt wasn't driven by the dance in the dance-off.

And judging by how often wardrobe like to dress the contestants up as if they're at the zoo at the moment, you might not return for a while...

How I understand it is that if a person asks a vet to put a dog down then they have to do it. However, if that person signs the dog over to the vet, then the vet can give it to the RSPCA or wherever. My friends daughter works for a vet and someone came in and asked for a dog to be put down but she persuaded them to sign it over and she found a home for it. I very much doubt the Police put dogs down. My daughter is a police officer and there is no way she would be party to that. If they find a stray dog or a vicious one then they would hand it over.

I first saw this written weeks ago and am a little sceptical that dogs handed into the police are always put down. Why wouldn't they be passed onto the RSPCA or another body.

However I am not knowledgeable about animal issues so I haven't questioned it before.

I'm not a meat eater myself but the whole argument that one must not speak on bad ethics towards animals is intriguing to me; is a meat eater not allowed to care about the well being of an animal? Are they supposed to adopt a cold attitude at all times?
