Jamelias dancing was very poor.

Her actual jive was so poor in execution, she was flat footed, had no bounce at all and it was a bad jive. Forget what the judges said, she was VERY overmarked. I question if Kirsty should have gon really, but hers wasn't great either.

What I came to the thread to say was she really believes she is better then she is, she thinks she was only in the dance off as she isn't liked, well her dancing ability is poor to go with it. She was bemused at being in the bottom two!
Totally agree with you. It really annoys me when people say she shouldn't be in the dance off. Please stop moaning, this is a dance show to entertain the viewers and the viewers are entitled to vote for whom ever they want. I hope she leaves very soon.

Did Jamelia actually say on Loose Women she handed the dog into a police station? Or is this chinese whispers?
As has already been stated, she said it on 8 Out of 10 Cats, a comedy show. I've seen the episode in which it was said, she definitely said it. What I can't comment on was whether that was the whole truth or whether it was one aspect of the downside of large dog ownership that she "bigged up" for comedic purposes on a show which often exaggerates for effect or runs with an absurd theme. And on the police-putting-down-dogs point, the policy varies from force to force. Some won't accept them at all, most work with the local authority/RSPCA, a small number PTS.

And in other news...some people danced on telly this weekend. What about that, eh?

Ah now this is making sense, I suspect she just bigged it up for the show.

Totally vile thing to say, comments like this are worse than anything she has said!
Melodramatic, maybe, but vile, no. Hell doesn't exist after all.

If the jamelia and dog story is true, I am disappointed. If true she shouldn't be keeping pets at all.

To be honest tired of people dragging up this dog story, which no one knows the actual truth of, and the rest of it. It's been done. Jamelia seems nice enough to me.

Some dog lovers are a touch rabid, they should get that seen to.

Enough now.
To be fair it is there for all to see on youtube.

Anita / Georgia / Jay are my final 3.

They can stay.

Helen George Vs Peter Andre dance off TV Heaven.

Darcy in tears / Len going on a rant / Andre's face when he hears he is in the bottom 2

Come on y'all you know you want to see it
Mmmmm.. sounds like a dream come true.

You make a good point, maybe we should have ignored it.

Right decision, Jamelia shouldn't have been in the dance off anyway.
Why not? Don't the public votes mean anything?????

She actualy said it in two episodes, it wasn't very bigged up.

She got a lab, he got big, his toilet was big and disgusting, she didn't want him, took him to the police as you can with dogs but not children, got a small dog she could put in her bag.

Ah a beautiful labrador, oh well, he was better off without her. Mind you they can be quite boisterous as puppies, I can understand if he was too much for her.

Yep.

Not even to mention that there are a lot of people who watch ho know dance (myself included), who can see she is not good at all, yet believes she is up there.

tbh I thought they were both terrible in the DO, but I blame brendan for making kirsty look so bad in that routine...as usual all unnecessary lifts and stuff with him, no dancing..
as for 'trying hard' jamelia...it was p*ss poor too! Only her charleston has been in the 'good bracket so far.

Can i just say, as I believe I am the person who mentioned this first on these boards.

I am a veggie, not full vegan for some of my health reasons, but dairy free.
I also work closely with animal rescues an do a lot of work with animals and help campeign animal rights too.

Just so you know, the police will put to sleep a dog handed in to them. This is from experience noth in the dov world and having family members who are in the police.
She did abandon the dog to get one that fit into a bag.

That is absolute tosh! All dogs handed in to police are sent to reputable dog homes/shelters. I should know as I used to process the paperwork.

Consistently better is irrelevant. Leaderboard scores are irrelevant. What matters - or should matter - is how they dance in that dance-off.

Jamelia was scored higher originally a) because she was ridiculously overmarked, and b) because Kirsty made several mistakes, one of them quite major. In the dance-off she didn't make that big mistake, so I don't think there was much if anything in it.

Don't get me wrong, I didn't *like* Kirsty's Charleston. It lacked energy and fun for me. But I hated Jamelia's jive even more. This was the first dance-off decision this year that I felt wasn't driven by the dance in the dance-off.
PLEASE listen to what Tess says to the judges before they give their score, she says "who do you think DESERVES to stay?" - that is code for who who do you think deserves to stay taking all things into consideration. Not who danced the best in the dance off alone. Jamelia has been in the dance off 3 times and on that point, Judges would usually want to get 'rid', but Kirsty is seen as considerably weaker and maybe they considered that one more week alone was not enough to change her fortunes. The dance off works for comparable dancers and although they both are not the best Kirsty is seen as somewhat weaker IMHO.

Ah, thank you.

At least she wasn't on QI so people can't accuse her of sexually molesting ewoks.

Aw, I have fond memories of Mark. I suppose he would have been considered a "duffer" but I found him much more entertaining than either Jeremy or Carol this year. His salsa remains one of my favourite Strictly dances of all time. Iveta was brilliant with him.

Love Karen and Jeremy but OMG, Iveta has Jeremy's partner would have been Strictly Gold

Isn't the Charleston choreographed by 'others'? It used to be I know.

Well I know many are PTS and some go to the pound, which are awful in themselves too.
I know they do get put to sleep, my uncle has one he saved from it when it was handed in to them.

Except they always claim it is based solely on the dance off performance.
I saw Kirsty rectify mistakes.
I thought Jamelia was sloppier.

Anyone technical here can shed a light as to what I am not seeing?
I agree with you.

And well done to Kirsty for making it to week six, from being, so I understand, a non-dancer.
