I am a vegetarian and belong to WWF. I have a rescue cat and a rescue dog. I don't believe your story. Have you got evidence?
Just to let you know if you hate trophy hunting, WWF are known to condone it. |

Well I know many are PTS and some go to the pound, which are awful in themselves too.
I know they do get put to sleep, my uncle has one he saved from it when it was handed in to them. |

PLEASE listen to what Tess says to the judges before they give their score, she says "who do you think DESERVES to stay?" - that is code for who who do you think deserves to stay taking all things into consideration. Not who danced the best in the dance off alone. Jamelia has been in the dance off 3 times and on that point, Judges would usually want to get 'rid', but Kirsty is seen as considerably weaker and maybe they considered that one more week alone was not enough to change her fortunes. The dance off works for comparable dancers and although they both are not the best Kirsty is seen as somewhat weaker IMHO.
I thought both couples were poor tonight, Jamelia better on aggregate/more potential BUT performed poorly and slapdash when she did the jive the second time. |

Rubbish. The police have nothing to do with dogs being euthanised. If they can't be rehomed then the home/shelter may have to put the animal to sleep, but that decision has absoutely nothing to do with the police. You are posting about something you don't understand and as a result your posts contain incorrect information.
so who did she skip over in the public vote to make up FOUR places on jamelia??

Oh, wonderful. More facts pulled out of thin air.

Do you have any evidence to corroborate your claim?
I certainly looked when you first posted it, and couldn't find anything and at least one other FM tried too and came up empty handed. |

I am sorry, what is pulled out of thin air.
Jamelia said it herself and the WWF is well known fof it actually if you do some research. Secondly, WWF don't condone trophy hunting. They merely accept that fact that there are cultural differences in some locations where hunting is considered normal, and as long as a species is not threatened with extinction or exploitation, that it's not really worth getting up in arms about. |

If they are not PTS a local pound may be an option, which is an awful thought for any dog lover as they have few rules as to who can gave a dog. Call it rubbish if you wish, I realky do not care, I know what I know and have seen what I have seen. |

Jamelia said it herself and the WWF is well known fof it actually if you do some research. WWF does not promote or support hunting generally and is opposed to hunting that threatens species or habitat sustainability. At the same time, WWF recognises that communities use their wildlife and these uses include hunting and fishing. As a leading conservation organisation, WWF works to address illegal or unsustainable exploitation of wildlife. Within this framework, WWF accepts or supports hunting in a very limited number of contexts where it is culturally appropriate, legal and effectively regulated, and has demonstrated environmental and community benefits. That is not condoning trophy hunting. |

Well, it's pretty clear from others who actually know what they're talking about that in the majority of cases dogs are not put down at Police Stations.
Secondly, WWF don't condone trophy hunting. They merely accept that fact that there are cultural differences in some locations where hunting is considered normal, and as long as a species is not threatened with extinction or exploitation, that it's not really worth getting up in arms about. As for the trophy hunting, they condone it for a price. So the Cecil the lion situation, or those who pay to hunt giraffes. If people love animals and are vegans and do not support animal murder then it is worth knowing. Hardly plucked from thin air though when it is true. |

You know what, this is so unbelievably off-topic it's ridiculous, and I can't be bothered to continue it.
Believe what you want to believe. To be honest, this whole thread has been derailed very unpleasantly. |

The actual WWF statement on this:
WWF does not promote or support hunting generally and is opposed to hunting that threatens species or habitat sustainability. At the same time, WWF recognises that communities use their wildlife and these uses include hunting and fishing. As a leading conservation organisation, WWF works to address illegal or unsustainable exploitation of wildlife. Is it just me, or was the applause for the departing couple just a bit half-hearted at the end of the results show?

I felt quite sorry for Kirsty in the end . Well, more like for the past few weeks really . She's had a tough year and I suspect that doing Strictly was a way of proving to herself that she can tackle something extremely challenging as a single woman now .
I also suspect her appearing so aloof is a protective thing . Her putting up fences to protect herself . I believe had she had a more popular pro partner (sorry Brendan) she might have been more popular . I also think that Brendan lost interest this year . Whether it was because of Kirsty being a dud dancer or because he has just become jaded in general I don't know . Kirsty tried hard, but dancing is just not her thing . |

Agree about Brendan. Maybe this was one year too far. He seemed completely disengaged from the whole thing.
