I thought when she got together with Sian, I believed it was just a case of falling for her best friend more then actually fancying girls. Didn't she have a boyfriend before she suddenly turned lesbian.

I hope they don't put her with that women. Sophie's a good actress but I find her really boring. We've also already had a storyline involving Sophie and Jenna! We don't need another one! Yawn. And so what if Kate is engaged and they are going to do the whole affair storyline. Nobody will care as for one, we haven't seen her fiancé yet and 2, Kate's only been here 2 mins so are we really going to care?!

Yes, Sophie is a lesbian. She did go out with that Ben guy before she discovered her sexuality. Sophie and Jenna were completely mismatched and shouldn't have been together in my opinion, it felt like the writers just shoved them together because they had nothing else to do with the character, despite the only thing they had in common was been attracted to women.

I agree that I hope they dont put Sophie and Kate together

Really hope they don't put Sophie and Kate together but I have a feeling they will, well either her or Kate's girlfriend when she arrives.

Sophie's dull as ditch water. I don't want to see her in an affair with Kate or Caz to be honest. She could be friends with them and maybe meet a new girl at a lesbian bar when out with them then on a bar crawl but please, not an affair with someone as dull as Sophie. The Jenna storyline wasn't the best. I think it's about time Sophie left.

I like Sophie. The main issue is how awful the actress is. I think that's why she is unlikeable.

yes it was meant to be a love story rather than Sophie being gay and now they seem to have her permanently with girls.

I would like to see her fall for a guy, it would make a good story her being confused over her sexuality and would give her a decent storyline for a change

Yes, Brooke Vincent isn't the best. She doesn't bring Sophie to life. She's just so boring.

Slept with three girls and no boys, seems fairly conclusive. I think there would potentially be complaints if she suddenly turned straight again. (No bisexuals in soap, dontcha know.)

If something does happen between her and Kate, which is fairly likely, I doubt it'll be next week or anything. Time to build up to it.

I think Sophie is meant to be lesbian with no ambiguity.

Yes, she did go out with Ben but i think that was more because she felt it was what was expected of her, and it was a very chaste relationship.

Yes, she fell in love with Sian and it was very tentative but again, i thought that was just down to them being young and unclear on how to progress. Obviously it is a few years ago so I've probably forgotten a lot of the details but it always seemed to me that Sophie was the more decisive one, and if either of them were going to decide it was just falling in love with one girl and wanting to physically express that love to that one girl rather than being sexually attracted to women in general it would have been Sian. Sophie was interested in Amber too don't forget, when still with Sian and she wasn't in love with her. Since then we have had Jenna and Maddy and mow it will either be Kate or her fiancee if and when she shows up.

Meanwhile, she hasn't shown even a spark of interest in any boy or man since she was about 15 so I'd say, she is a lesbian rather than bi-sexual or confused.

if Sophie is finding it hard to find another bedmate, she can always pretend to be a devout Christian again, and seduce another vulnerable girl at the homeless shelter. I hope Corrie doesn't take the easy line and put her with Kate; I would like to see Kate's soldier partner come in to the show.

Sophie is a lesbian and she is not confused by that fact.

She is horrible and judgemental (and not in any way that is entertaining to watch) I will never forget the way she bullied and taunted mentally ill Jenny.

As for her sexuality I haven't been convinced by any of her lesbian relationships. Making Sophie a lesbian just felt like another box ticking exercise by Phil Collinson.

Jenny was bullying her. She kidknapped her brother and she was partly responsible for her girlfriends death so of course she would be angry

She's unlikeable on here but she has a massive following every where else

Maddie was responsible for her own death and possibly Tracy as well but not Jenny.

Oh Sophie is a horrible person. Well actually, i think that she is really just rather selfish, whiny, judgemental and in your face but those negative characteristics are magnified as they go against christian ideals and she claims to be a Christian so it is hypocritical on top of everything else.

Re her lesbian relationships being unconvincing. I think that She and Sian seemed real but since then, it has seemed that they have forced it just so she could be in a relationship and it doesn't help that she was quite aggressive in her pursuit of the relationships when they were both actually in vulnerable positions - Jenna because of her job and not being out (even though she was older) and Maddy because she was homeless.

I'm not sure any relationship with a Man would have been any more convincing though as Vincent just isn't a good actress (imo) and perhaps can't produce the necessary chemistry to convince as lovers.

If you don't want to believe that she still kidknapped her brother

I think this is a 6 of one, half a dozen of another situations.

Obviously Maddy made the decision to go into a cordoned off area and was in ultimate control of her decisions. But, we should consider why she made that decision. Why she felt she needed to talk to Sophie and Kevin so urdently. It wasn't to discuss what they were going to eat for dinner - it was because she had just caught Jenny trying to abduct Jack and been attacked by her so she believed Jack to be in imminent danger so it couldn't wait for the cordon to be cleared. And that belief, that jack was in danger, was a direct consequence of Jenny's actions.

Of course if Tracy hadn't been playing silly beggars there wouldn't have been danger in the first place.

So, i think Jenny has to take some of the blame for Maddy's death.

I still think Sophie was horrible to Jenny though.

Sophie can be judgemental, but I wouldn't call her horrible. I like Kate, and I don't mind if they put them together, it seems pretty obvious they will be from the way they confronted each other on the garage forecourt that they were meant to clash and then shortly afterward will probably realise they are attracted to each other.. I wish they'd give Sophie more to do than just focus on stories about her sexuality.

I can't help thinking it's time DS let go of the "calls herself a Christian....hmph" line.

The girl developed Christian beliefs to suit a particular sl whereby she got to meet Sian and eventually fall off the church roof........many years ago. Lots of kids 'get religion' or 'get into politics' at that age and they grow out of it just as quickly.

Can't we just assume that Sophie matured and grew out of her religious phase and move on?

Who knows what her preference is now, but why is she sorting out her dad's business that he's run well enough for all these years.

Of course she is a lesbian. She even told Sally earlier this year that Ben was just a phase

She's supposed to be still a born again Christian and hasn't lost her faith, but she's one of the most un-Christian women I've ever laid eyes on : spitting fire whenever anyone crosses her and refusing to forgive them.
