Anita and Kellie undermarked. Anita's constant good but not great scores are starting to grate now.

Undermarked- Kellie, Peter (and I think he's been overmarked nearly every week so far so that's saying something), Anita
Overmarked- Jamelia (a little), Jay (a LOT), Helen (again a little, she was very good but not sure it deserved 9s), Georgia (same as Helen) No one was particularly spectacular tonight and I think the top of the leaderboard should have been scoring about 32 |

Why do they keep on doing that. Craig gives them 7 and then he gives another couple not so good a 7 too. How does he work it? Does he not take into account that Anita is not trained in the least.

I'm hoping it's that Craig sees potential in Anita so is trying to push her by not scoring her high?
Otherwise there is no excuse. |

Craig always marks the first couples of the night low so that he can mark the later ones higher. This sounds sensible until the later couples perform worse and he has nowhere to go with his marking.

I don't understand it either and I am getting mightily fed up with it. The judging is all over the place.
They are essentially shaping the competition prematurely. I think Anita could win on acting and gymnastics ability with the right dances at key times, and Kellie is their best combination of presence , acting, and fitness, but as I said somone has to go . |

They want a 2 v 2 boy v girl final. Its also time for another male winner, or it will look like a set habit that a female wins. Their problem is they have put 4 good females in - all of whom can act better than Jay or Peter, and can beat them with the right dance. There's also Katie - who could win if it was a ballroom competition. The girls have to be culled somehow. The stronger 4 of them look, the less credible and worse the competition looks - as at least two people, who will rightly be seen as competitors to win, will go, possibly rather arbitarily, before the final. The marking seems to downplaying Kellie and Anita , and overplaying Katie's latin problem - which may be largely having Anton. The judges are also commenting on the detail of other people's acting, but not penalising jay for his lack of it.

Anita is by far the most liked female celeb (for 50% probably due to Gleb), but she doesn't stand a chance against Jay (also because there seems to a massive cross-over between fandoms; it's more of a mixed fandom). Jay will win the competition in a landslide, as it doesn't happen too often that your biggest competition gives you a large share of your (final) votes. |

Think that she the least liked of the female contenders on DS (and that is saying something when you also have someone who has had a smear campaign in the tabloids).

I can see a method to the shows marking madness though. Helen is a BBC prime time asset, Georgia may bring in some of the ITV x factor audience. That will probably do - even if they can't match their marks to their comments with Kellie or Anita , and Katie gets wall to wall negativity for actually being entertaining. |
