1) Peter - I don't care what you have to say - just zip it, for goodness sake

2) impossible to see paso shaping under a Hogwarts cloak

3) Carol was just diabolical, as was Kirsty

4) cracking Phantom of the Opera from the band and singers - Katie and Anton WTF

5) shame Anitas horns hindred her underarms turns, shame Gleb seems so distance from her too - or maybe thats just my interpretation but he seems so disinterested

[quote=Monsieur23;80204006]1) Jay, his AS was great, just not... not the standard it could've been. Same with his Paso last week.
3) Kellie's Paso was, conversely, overmarked, and deserved the same score as Katie's (about 25); far too frenetic, with little to no Spanish shaping.
5) Anita's dance was beautiful, and hugely undermarked (deserved about the same as Helen, 34). [QUOTE}

1) If you watch Jay's AS again you will see that he danced it really well - horrible music choice (not Alionas) and they had to work with that - pity they didn't get the AS for a normal week as am sure Aliona would have produced a spectacular AS dance like she did with Harry in the final a few years ago.
3) It was a mistake to make Kellie dance on that table so much - impacted her performance.
5) I liked Anitas dance but IMO Gleb has too much contemporary elements in his choreography and may need to focus on some of the basics (footwork, arms etc) as he has a very talented celeb.

1) I liked Darcey as Morticia.

2) Georgia was excellent.

3) Andre.

4) Some wacky music choices

5) Kellie's paso. Started off interesting then fell flat.

1. They would do better having more time to practice rather than making silly vt films
2. The costumes were the main focus and not the dancing
3.Its time some of the weaker dancers were voted off, not kept for popularity
4. Enjoyed Gleb and Anita, he looked AMAZING on that throne wearing that crown
5. Also enjoyed his two collapses to the floor. Very Dramatic

1) Costume > Make up > Set Dressing > Music > Dance. Awful.
2) Very disappointing show
3) Carol's dance one of the worst I have ever seen
4) Tess beginning to get on my tits
5) Darcey looked smokin' with black hair

1. The most disappointing Halloween special that I can recall
2. Music. Some really odd choices that didn't work with the dances.
3. Really liked Anita and Gleb. Shame about the hair horns.
4. Jeremy! Loved him.
5. Carol. Just. Awful. Go home now, please.

I know the judges are supposed to be The Adams Family but Bruno looks he woke up 5 minuets before the start of the show and grabbed the nearest clothes he had.

Katie wasn't that bad at all. I feel like they've latched onto the narrative that she can't do Latin and ran with it. If Kirsty had done a paso like that she'd have been told it was good.

I love Jeremy and Karen's partnership.

The VT's are just horrendous. Except for Anita's which was strangely 'normal'.

Props to Giovanni for choreographing a credible Tango to that song.

1. Loved Giovanni/Georgia's tango, well deserved place at the top of the leader board
2. Also liked Anita and Gleb's dance, he looked good in the crown and long hair
3. Jay's dance seems to get better the more times I watch it, also liked the music and the little cartoon in the original version
4. Pleased the Halloween theme is over for another year
5. Darcey looked great in her dark hair

1) I was scared I would get fed up with Jeremy but I continue to like him more and more, so glad as I was a fan before strictly

2) Hope its Georgia's breakthrough week, she was more noticeable and I find her very gracious, more of that please GG

3) This year has angered me most for music, Ainsley's salsa is my favourite of this series mainly due to having a proper salsa song (albeit lucky with the chef tomatoes correlation), I also like hearing songs I would never of probably heard before and strictly used to have this all of the time fix it up strictly

4) Tess is just dreadful, I would probably in a way miss her if she went but every time the dances have finished I get prepared to hide due to her cringe worthy behaviour

5) Whoever invented this 5 thoughts thread a few years I salute you...always enjoy reading and posting

#1 =The show seemed really flat without Ainsley, to be honest I was distraught when he was eliminated and I really miss him, it's not the same

#2 = Anita was undermarked again, her waltz was beautiful, plus Georgia and Giovanni's tango was brilliant

#3 = Jeremy's salsa..... no words to describe it. Seriously hope he sticks around for ever

#4 = Kellie's routines are always frantic, because Kevin just wants to overexaggerate every single move

#5 = Who was the guy at the bottom of Claude's staircase who scared the couples before they climbed up?

The way Brendan waved and kind of apologised to the others on Claude nine just after, confirmed to me that 'the rest of them' was the other routines.
He was quite right.
OMG then. That's the most appalling comment I think I've heard on this show - that all the couples after us are even worse than we are. WTH??? He was 2nd, with Anita and Jay and Kellie and Helen and Georgia to come - so he thought all their dances were sh!te? (and he would have seen them all in camera-blocking and dress rehearsal) ???

1) Theme weeks really don't hold my attention or interest and the music was terrible - none of the dances worked.
2) It's interesting to have a series where different people are topping the leaderboard and all celebs making an effort.
3) Peter made me say out aloud - "oh shut up" and reach for the mute button. I've never reacted like that to anyone on the show.
4) Anticipation and excitement for #yearoftheAnton has dropped consierably and I'm backing Anita instead.
5)
That was my reaction to Peter as well but said it more than once then pressed mute
He is getting right on my wick.... He should zip it 🤐

He was just saying that they were all not as good as they had been in the past, and I think (apart from maybe Jeremy), he was right.

Georgia had her highest score yet

Both Jay and Helen had their highest scores in respectively ballroom and latin

OK......................

I think re the Brendan comment, it was a jag in it.
I think he most likely did feel that way and it slipped out in a jaded joke.

To be fair be was right, even if the scores say differently (lets be honest, they are not a true reflection of whag goes on on the dance floor), with the exception of Georgia, they have all danced better.

1) Music choices OMG. Some great songs with lifeless performances, and some songs which were just plain wrong for the dances. Again.

2) Applause to Joe Varney for making that tango work.

3) Judges favouritism and victimisation becoming ever more obvious and nasty. Katie was not just undermarked by 5-6 points but the comments were savage and dismissive. Why? And are they seriously saying Jeremy was better? Helen gets 9s for a samba where the bounce action only almost worked and there was a big "moment"? Jamelia is ridiculously over-scored for a very poor jive. And Anita being under-marked for spiky movements when she's playing a witch! Becoming a farce.

4) STFU Peter, you creep.

5) Very unfair of len to put Pasha on the spot with that "Have you stopped beating your celebrity yet?" question about the heel leads. What's the poor guy supposed to do, tell his celebrity she's rubbish for ignoring him or look like an idiot and claim he didn't?Really not nice, Len.

3 for results night..

1. opening pro routine - wtf was that supposed to be

2. felt for both kirsty and jamelia, neither are great dancers but there are worse, and i don't get the dislike of either of them

3. format overall for the results show is so robotic, i could recite most of it word for word...

Extras for results show:

1. I still think Kirsty was done no favours by having a frown painted on her face and eye makeup that basically closed her eyes. How do you do a glaring Charleston and get the character of it?
2. Having said that I thought Jamelia danced better.
3. Lovely for Georgia - that's about the most positive bit of this weekend for me, that she clearly had such a great time. I think everyone else has been better in other dances.

1 - Can't fault Jeremy's enthusiasm.
2 - Helen = Cheap Japanese anime Debbie McGee
3 - Anita and Gleb's waltz was haunting but charming. However, shame about the horns!
4 - I unintentionally tune out every time Kirsty and Brendan are on.
5 - If they never do Halloween week again, I wouldn't miss it.
BIB, I howled when I read this (apologies for Halloween related pun), Charly you are hilarious Anyway my 5:

1. Agree with others that Anita was undermarked
2. Tess looked gorgeous and I loved Darcey with black hair
3. Great to see Georgia at the top of the leader board, and well deserved too
4. Not a fan of Kevin's manic, frantic routines
5. Shocked that Carol wasn't in the bottom 2, she must be incredibly popular

Love this thread.

1) although Helen dances very well, I find her almost instantly forgettable .
2) loved Anita and Gleb as Prince and Malificent. Len hadn't seen either sleeping beauty or the new one? Really?
3) did not understand why the judges so down on Katie. Seemed a bit odd..
4) Carol was truly truly terrible. Almost couldn't watch. She must be getting a lot of public votes. (she looked awful as well, she always looks lovely on breakfast)
5) out of the bottom two there wasn't much to choose between them!

1) Helen & Aljaz
I thought she improved in this latin number as she dug deeper into the wood with her footing to get stronger legs in the routine (as opposed to dancing light and fluffy on the floor in her salsa). The promenade runs at the very top (where she fans out her arms) was a nice to see, as she was able to breath through the movement and introduce the samba feel. Thought she coped well with the constant music changes in rhythms along with the signature samba roll. I like how she was able to effortlessly shadow Aljaz during the roll, and I especially enjoyed how she didn't forget about her expressive free arm during that move as well. Perhaps it had to do with the music/theme, but I wanted to get the full party-like carnival feel to the routine, as I normally find myself (in private) subtley moving up and down on my chair to a promising performance. The trip was a bit of a surprise. To add to her future performances, if she can add a bit of flair from her ballroom numbers into her latin dances, that would a nice addition. Nonetheless, it's nice seeing the improvement in her dancing as the weeks progress, and Aljaz should be given proper credit for shaping her into a nice dancer.

2) Jay & Aliona
The freeze-frame moment when Jay catches a spinning Aliona towards the end (his nice arm extensions) illustrates the marked improvement in his lines. Enjoyed the foxtrot hold as it looked refined and elegant, and I thought Jay carried out the lifts with effortless ease and careful control (nice to see how Aliona can blend the dismounts in the routine such that they are hardly noticeable as well). I think the lifts are a great addition and example about the versatility of Jay's strength and dance abilities (with no offense or disrespect intended to the male celebs) and an infinite luxury that provides Aliona with lots of material/ideas to work with when choreographing. Dances like the argentine tango and contemporary (ace card) would obviously showcase the full range of motion and lifts that the couple would be capable of. While his dances may probably be compared to his lively week 3 jive as the weeks move along, a passage of time should benefit this couple (performance improvements, music selection, reflection, seasoned experience), as it could serve as a segue into even more accomplished performances down the line.

3) Georgia & Giovanni
Initially worried for a split-second about Georgia's nervous downward glance as she came down the steps (wish she could play it off well like Giovanni next time), as I thought she wasn't confident about the performance right from the outset. But as soon as she assumed the tango 'V' shape hold, looked up and away as if she didn't need reassurance from her partner, it was a beautiful sight to see. I thought Giovanni did a nice job allowing the choreography to breath by pausing in timely moments, such that the music didn't overtake the routine. Thought Georgia's small stature also aided her, enabling her to remain low, compressed, such that she was able to carry out the stop-and-go actions well. In one moment I thought her frame wobble a little bit when they abruptly shifted in hold at sharp angles. Nonetheless, enjoyed the spinning moments after they broke hold midway, as I thought Giovanni brought order to the chaos of the music, and reinforced the tightly, controlled feel of the number. Hoping they can continue building upon this high-scoring performance and take the positives and improvements into next week.

Best of luck to all the celebs and looking forward to their dances.

1 - The Judges really need to let Jamelia go home - it's getting embarassing for her to be in the dance-off every week - even from about 5 places above the bottom of their leaderboard. The public are clearly not engaging with her so they should really let her go next time, (but she may end up with 2 more dance-offs yet if she ends up against either Carol or Jeremy or even, on a bad Latin week, Katie). I'm actually starting to feel sorry for her.

2 - Everything seemed slightly under-whelming this week - I think maybe the Halloween theme kicked the learning to dance out of the window.

3 - Costumes and make-up were, as always, brilliant though.

4 - Kellie needs to learn how to hide her disappointment a bit when she gets less than good comments and scores

5 - Conversely, I have never seen anyone so delighted to get a 4 as Jeremy and Karen - and their joy when Claudia told them they were top of the leaderboard was brilliant
