If we're talking about just strictly (so watching the dances) then I would say the salsa. Pointless dance, zero technique on strictly, too many gimmicks!
Mark R & Karen H salsa is my fav.

I dislike the Foxtrot intensely. I can't think of one ever I have enjoyed much. Horrid dance.

The rumba again! The only one I've ever enjoyed was Rachel Stevens and Vincent's. All the others, even with dancers I've loved, have just either made me cringe or feel really bored!

My two favourite Rumbas on the show.

Personally, I find Quicksteps universally disappointing (never quick enough, never enough steps), but Dani Harmer did a very creditable one.

I love the jive! It's certainly my favourite dance to perform anyway. Admittedly most jives on Strictly are a bit meh.

Mine too!

Most jives on strictly are just not good, Jay's being an exception. Also loved Kelly Brook's jive to johnny be good!

I can't remember Cherie's, but I thought Pamela's was full of emotion. I think Kara performed the best technical Rumba, but it left me a bit cold.

Yes, they are always a bit boring to watch.

I think the AS is a bit pointless; lifts aren't that novel now and most American Smooths are just 80% lifts.

good thread.

my least liked dance is the samba. no-one seems to be able to dance it very well. and what is it for exactly anyway.

i can't think of any that i've liked, or really remember any of them. maybe pixie and trent.

I'm not that keen on it either.

What did you think of Frankie and Kevin's last year though? Thought that one was brilliant, actually.

Paso Doble.

Kevin & Susanas represented everything I dislike about it. my fave one until recently was Austins but that has been eclipsed by Jay's completely.

Beautiful shaping no stupid growly faces and choreographing to every phrase in the music.

I'm not keen on the Charleston but the only one version that had the wow factor for me was...

Natalie Gumede & Artem Chigvintsev at Blackpool

I was about to jump on the rumba bandwagon and was deciding which to choose for part two of the question: "Rachel Steven's was good...and Kartem's was okay...and Colin Jackson's was excellent for a bloke...and Cherie Lunghi's was pretty good..." at which point I realised I actually don't mind the rumba.

The cha cha cha, however...it's dull, it's unmemorable, it was a week one standard for a reason, half the time it's indistinguishable from a salsa or samba when done Strictly-style. The only one I can think of that stuck in my mind and that I would watch again was Alesha's, and that is almost entirely because of her channelling Beyoncé in the opening bars where she looks FIERCE *does z-snap*

I'm not a fan of the latin party dances like the Cha Cha Cha, Salsa or Samba. Or, more accurately, I'm not a fan of the Salsambcha as performed on Strictly.

Another vote against the Rumba, other than Kara & Artem and Cherie & James. I would probably have liked Pamela & James' Rumba more if I hadn't found Pamela such an irritating personality. Still, as James & Ola really seem to like the Rumba - they've done pro dances to it often enough - it's not surprising James would choreograph it well.

Hate the Rumba - very embarrassed to watch it whoever is dancing it.

I seem to remember Zoe Ball doing a good one with Ian Waite.

Another #vacant?

I don't like watching the American Smooth, in all its different guises, the Foxtrot American Smooth in particular; I don't know why, there's just something about it that makes me .

Rumba.

Vincent and Rachel's wasn't embarrassing.

Another vote for the Rumba, and I usually hide behind the sofa for them.

The only one I've liked was R&V's first effort, which was, as Craig put it, positively indecent.

Never really liked the samba; too many disco/party sambas have watered it down, yet a full-on ballroom samba is cheesy- so I really loved Trent's madness-embracing take on it with Pixie.
