Just wanted to express my love for Grimmy tonight. I had high hopes for him and was disappointed by his edit during the auditions but I'm glad he was able to get more of his personality across tonight.

I was really impressed with him tonight! Great constructive comments, not too much ridiculous fawning and he just comes across and lovely and genuine.

I liked him too. He seemed comfortable in front of the cameras and even when I didn't agree with him, he seemed to own his opinions.

Plus, It was extremely refreshing to not have to put up with Louis' squawking away at the end of the table.

I didn't like Grimmy but I have liked him on XF

I'm glad others liked him too. There was such a strong dislike for him on this forum when he first started, at one point I felt like the only person who actually had good things to say about him.

I recommend following him on snapchat also - that's where he really lets loose (and shows a penchant for dancing to Justin Bieber songs).

Both he and Rita did well. Even though he was close to going down the Walliams route with the comment about dreaming about him and Simon, or whatever it was....xD

Glad to see Grimmy has been well received at last. He's a really nice bloke. He had the boys on his radio show the other day and seems to have a really genuinely positive rapport with them.

Just to add to my earlier post - looks like he & Rita were at a Halloween party together last night. It's worth watching just to see Rita twerking to Justin Bieber whilst dressed as a banana in pyjamas

Always liked Nick and when I saw him at the x factor auditions he was very good it's definitely the editing. Actually think Nick being in radio is a good thing he's been exposed to more songs to know what kind of song will be good to sing.

I agree, his radio role will only serve to help here. He'll know what is current more than any of the other three judges.

I hated him at first, but last night he came into his own.

You make him sound like an X Factor contestant.

I was a bit disappointed in him this week mainly his song choices.

He did great with Che, but his song choices for both Seann and Mason were poor.

The fact that his first choice for Seann was Downtown by Petula Clark says it all...

He's winning me round in the lives actually. Teardrops was a bad choice for Mason but if the VT is to be believed Mason wanted that song.

I actually think Downtown would have been a much better choice than California Dreaming and could have been a bit of a moment for him. We've seen him do lots of 'yearny' songs and he tends to over-egg the yearn. Downtown could have been much more celebratory and shown a different side to him. Plus I suspect it's probably better known here.

He was himself this weekend for the first time. I always believed he would deliver.

He's probably gone next year for Louis Tomlinson anyway so he should really worry a lot less than he seems to do.

It probably also comes from him being clearly a fan of the show for so long.

(I am talking about entertainment. Not about judging and mentoring decisions. They all have very little power on that front.)

I'd actually be a bit disappointed if he left. If they really wanted Louis T they should get rid of Rita and have 3 guys on the panel.

I'd rather Louis W back on the panel than Louis T. He can probably carry a tune better too.

He started off as irritating, now he's just dull and pointless.
