Don't know what all the fuss is about. It's a dump and it's in Lancashire.

Your problem with Lancashire is what exactly?

Blackpool and the Tower Ballroom has a long standing history with regards to dance and a large number of big dance comps are held in Blackpool so that's what all the fuss is about so some research to find out why its iconic and why it's seen as such an achievement to get to dance in the tower ballroom. Although it seems history and heritage is lost on most now.

It's not Yorkshire. I thought that was obvious at least in geographical terms.

As for Blackpool, you've obviously never been there on a wet Whit weekend. Or even a sunny July weekend.

Although the Tower is a very special place, "proper" dance competitions are held in the magnificent Wintergardens these days. Not sure if they hold any comps in the Tower any more.
