in Strictly last night.

The reason I am asking is that a war of words have broken out between James Jordan and Danny Dyer with Dyer using the C word.

I am no lover of both these men both cry out for attention. But for a employee to use the C word on twitter I think is not acceptable.

Are the BBC giving Kellie more attention...just wondering what people think.

Suspect the producers are trying to encourage East Enders viewers to watch Strictly (like they get other actors or singers in the VTs to encourage their fans to watch - Elvis Costello, Nathan )

BBC don't favour their employees in Strictly - someone's worked out comparatively few have reached the finals.

Don't know the details of the Twitter row - avoid them both - and suppose the clip was recorded days before.

The "c-word" he used is not what is being implied here or in the DM

If the 'offending' phrase in question is 'irritating 🐓' I'd suggest it's quite accurate.

They've been to other contestant's places of work, they brought in Jeremy's well known brother, they bring in band members, they even brought in Andy Murray last year, so why not Kellie's co star.

But you'd have to be already watching Strictly to see the VTs - its not like they promote their VT appearances before the show. I would have thought its the other way around - Nathan is getting a bit of exposure, they promote the upcoming Eastenders wedding etc.

I don't see it as favouring Kellie to have Danny Dyer in her VT, its probably more likely she just didn't have time to go off to some haunted mansion to film a comedy skit.

I don't watch EastEnders so have no idea who he is.

Yes, ALL the time.

The VT was filmed on an Eastenders location shoot. Nothing wrong with that - other celebs have been filmed at their place of work/with co-stars or fellow workers*. As Kellie would have been filming for long hours (soap actors often work 12+ hour days when they're involved with major storylines), she probably didn't have time to disappear for a couple of hours to film a VT in some random location.

*last year, Sunetra Sarker did a VT in which two or three of her Casualty co-stars appeared.

Pfft...most of them get filmed with co-stars, kids, grannies, some random in a supermarket queue, next door's dog etc at some point in the series.

(I assume those who do not want to retain the privacy/anonymity of their family/kids and won't pimp them out for the "cute/sympathy" vote)

As to Dyer & Jordan...WGAS...in a gobshite idiot competition it's hard to say which would win.

All I know is that James Jordan got the twitte fight he's been itching for all season long. He didn't complain when Strictly went to the Hollyoaks set with Ola's partner some years ago.

I'm actually glad there was someone as childish as JJ, and took his bait. JJ acting like he has inside info to bts stuff spilling to him what a nasty bloke DD is was hilarious.

Why wouldn't they use him though? Kellie was filming a major storyline last week and he and other cast members were there so why hide him? Being Danny's on-screen partner is what she's famous for after all.

Regarding Danny Dyer in Kellies vt -he plays her on screen husband, it was inevitable that there was going to be and EE set visit

Regarding the C word - I am struggling to find the contoversy here op. The c word sits comfortably in Dyers vocabulary. The BBC knew this when they hired him. He is entitled to say what he wants on twitter as long as they reflect his own views.

Okaaaay, I'm only going to say this only once. Once you get past the cockney geezer routine, Danny Dyer is far more intelligent and witty than what people give him credit for. His twitter feed can be hilarious sometimes, I just had a look now and he's feuding again with his old sparring partner Katie Hopkins. He does have the brain to back his mouth up whereas Shimmy Jimmy...

Dyer actually went up a lot in my estimation when he received abusive messages after EE aired the storyline of his gay son coming out. He told them to shove their homophobic opinions where the sun don't shine with an appropriate meme to go with it

As for a well known potty mouth BBC employee using the word c*ck on Twitter... oh, the horror! Just last week we had a judge on the programme saying BOLLOCKS live, I don't think you can top that!

In general i don't stick up for James as i think his cattiness towards some former colleagues is poor. But.... I don't really see why Danny was aggrieved in the first place. James wasn't being derogatory about him.

The embarrassing thing is that Ola still has to work with these people .. ie: Kellie. But I guess she's used to being embarrassed by James.

I'm glad Danny managed to get in the dig about working .. or not .. on Strictly. James really should have seen that one coming. He set it up perfectly

I find that more of a dig at the producers/BBC than a dig at Danny.

It's a stupid dig, as they bring in co-stars all the time, but I don't think it was aimed at Danny.
