Mason really has made a pact with the Devil

Now I know that Mason was never exactly some genius breaking new ground in music or performance but he has something and his performances had some edge to them.

Since he's been brought back his JH and LS performances have been weak and insipid. He's been made to sing a song about being sorry. Seriously? Who is he being sorry to? He threw down a mic and quit a talent show. He'd not broken up a marriage or been caught smoking crack.

I can't help but think (assuming the whole thing wasn't a total set up in the first place - and I have my suspicions...) that Simon is killing him with kindness. Seeing him appear week after week looking like a poor man's Justin Beiber/Timberlake, systematically killing off any credibility or artistry he has left.

At least we know which celebrity he'll be doing his duet with in the final - Nick Clegg.

The whole "sorry" concept was just cringeworthy and as one of the judges said, time to move on.

I've just seen it. How embarrassing!

Cowell's ego really knows no bounds, doesn't it?

Mason is looking like a total wimp doing that song, clearly sold out to be let back on the show.

I definitely think it was a set up. Why would he of come back when he felt so strongly about it enough to walk away? Now he's being nationally humiliated for it. Singing sorry was real cringe worthy t.v. Had they forgot he apologised in press and at live judges houses. God how much can one grovel. He won't even make the finals. He will be remembered for his sissy fit and his public humiliation. This guy really has sold his soul.

The only good thing is that he sung a current song I don't think Justin Bieber has even performed the song yet. At least he performs maybe next week he'll be better.

In the papers today that he has split up with girlfriend Riah the dumb Brummie model in that ITV travel show on recently.

. I have my fingers crossed that he is voted out tonight.

And when he leaves the show he can take the toys he threw out of his pram with him and his MASSIVE ego.

Such a charmless PRAT.

Simon made him sing Sorry as a way of saying, "fall in line, and you'll be rewarded". Look at Cher Lloyd, she was apparently a total cow behind the scenes, but was all sweetness and light in front of the cameras. She hasn't done too badly from it.

It was all a bit grovelling and cringe. I wonder does he feel like a right prat? He certainly looked like one.

Which one, Simon or Mason? Either way, I agree.

In complete agreement with OP. I tried to voice this some days ago in one of my posts but couldn't quite word it right.

Agree with OP. He has sold his soul, dignity, credibility and individuality to be back on the show.
Hope it works out, for this sake.

But he needs to stop grovelling to the public - too fake and its off-putting!

He needs to stand by who he is and be true to himself.

It's a shame. He'll be out in two weeks and will have no credibility left. He's too talented. But ce le vie

This smacks of set up. The producers gave him Sorry as his song choice. I very much doubt he would've chosen the song himself.

The producers must sit back and laugh their socks off at their own ideas. It's as if the X Factor is solely here to entertain the producers, rather than the public.

Yes, that's exactly how it seems. It's so self-indulgent.
