So it sounds like the weather forecasters are getting all confused about the weather.

Yesterday they were predicting record-breaking temperatures for today, see here: http://www.mirror.co.uk/news/uk-news...vember-6737607

But how different could it be? Heathrow Airport has had to cancel flights today due to fog, yet where I live in north west England, it has been bright and sunny all day with not a cloud in the sky!

See here: http://www.msn.com/en-gb/news/uknews...GrH4?ocid=iehp

Check out these BBC Weather observations for Manchester and London.

Manchester Observations
Observed at 13:00, Sunday 1 November

18°C
WIND SPEED 3 MPH SOUTH EASTERLY
Humidity: 69%
Visibility: Good
Pressure: 1028mb, Falling

London Observations
Observed at 13:00, Sunday 1 November

10°C
WIND SPEED 2 MPH NORTHERLY
Humidity: 100%
Visibility: Poor
Pressure: 1029mb, Falling

It is actually warmer in Manchester than London!

And just two weeks ago they were predicting "arctic conditions" and "sub-zero temperatures" for November. I don't see that here.

And what about that 3-month heatwave you predicted earlier this year that turned out to actually be just 3 days?

Will they ever get the weather right?

Never trust the papers for an accurate weather prediction, we all know they like to blow it out of all proportion - take the Express as a fine example.

Down here on the outskirts of Cambridgeshire, it's sunny, not a cloud in the sky, and really quite warm. It's been really nice weather to take the dog on a long walk, and quite surprising for the first of November, too!

I always use forecasts as a rough guide anyway. I can never trust them 100% as the weather is unpredictable. But as a rough guide, they work.

Just open your front door in the morning and see what its like, choose a jacket or a jumper and out you go.

Nothing to get in a tizzy about.

It's almost as if weather forecasts are merely predictions based on the available data instead of actually being able to see into the future!

BTW, the Met Office tend to be a bit more reliable than whatever 'bloke in a shed' the Express are using these days.

True, I have my raincoat and small umbrella that I squeeze into my man-bag.

I don't need to wear a jumper for now, I wear a vest under my shirt.
raincoats are surprisingly very worm believe it or not.

I also wear scarf. sorted.

Central Scotland

Clear overnight, touch of grass frost this morning, clear and sunny all day temperature into double figures, no breeze to speak of.

It's still clear so it'll be cold overnight again and probably slight grass frost in the morning,

Hottest November record broken in Wales today with a temp of 22.3c (72.1f) in Trawsgoed 2pm

Prestatyn had it previous in 1946 with 21.7, weather experts say it could be broken again tomorrow

Nope. They remarkably got it exactly right today. 22.4 deg C in West Wales as mentioned by Sexbomb above - a new UK all-time record high for November.

None of the above was predicted by the Met Office, only by Express or Mail-funded loonies. Pay no atttention to the self-proclaimed 'experts', only to the Met Office. Well done to the Met Office!

But sadly, it's a miserable and cloudy 14 degrees C down here on the south coast.

Unseasonably warm here over the weekend - was in town in shorts and tee yesterday.

Trawsgoed in Wales broke the UK record today for the hottest November day since records began:

Fabulous sunny day, lots of folk bathing in the sea, ten bottle nose dolphins in the bay and a kestrel having lunch in front of me.

Was foggy earlier on on the Fylde Coast in Lancashire, fog lifted and it was just cloudy and chilly. Fog seems to be coming back now.
