Scariest Soap Episodes
On the back of Friday's Eastenders I thought I'd start a thread on the scariest episodes of soap. There are four that come to mind for me as being the scariest. They are.....
Bobby's ghost in the fridge - Home and Away Louise kills her stalker - Emmerdale The Woolpack siege and storm Friday's Eastenders. Any one else got any contenders? |

Well not the 'scariest' but the one that sticks in my mind that had me with my heart in my mouth more or less scared was EastEnders NYD 2015 with the car crash, Ronnie 'dying' then brought back to life. Honestly that was the best EE episode in years.
The Woolpack Siege in ED too I agree. Hollyoaks Fright Night 2011. |

The episode where we saw Les in his underwear!
I think that the Halloween EE episodes have been quite scary in comparison to its usual episodes. Last year we had Lauren and a mystery person who was just standing there watching her. Although Abi's height sort of gave it away that she was the one watching Lauren

The queen Vic fire in 2010 was very scary.
It was one of the best episodes of all time, IMO. |

On ED, the episode where Cameron and Debbie ran Gennie off the road, and Cameron killed her. Terrifying.
On HO, Silas killing India, and Rae (though the second one was on Later). |

Tucker Jenkins being pursued through a darkened Grange Hill by psycho school bully Booger Benson.
Terrified me as a kid. |

Richard Hillman confessing his murders to Gail was very creepy.
The lighting was like something out of a horror movie, and Richard's black figure just standing here watching Gail search for them pills frantically sends shivers down my spine. |

I forgot to mention the siege on Home and Away where Sarah Lewis kept some of the residents hostage and murdered Noah. That was truly terrifying and she was an amazing actress

ED - Cameron killing Alex in the middle of the wood at Christmas, with a creepy version of Silent Night playing
, and the wool pack siege, especially the bit where he pops up in the water behind Debbie. Gennie getting killed was pretty disturbing too.Corrie - Sarah in that weird Internet guy's house. Anne Malone being frozen to death after getting locked in a Freshco's freezer. |

Ii seem to remember an episode where Lucy/Fatboy/Leon/Zsa Zsa/Lauren/Peter and co went to the woods in that van and nothing of note happened but lots of weird eerie stuff happened and it was quite frightening. I think they ran over something and they all thought it was Leon as well. Awful era for the show but the episode was very eerie.

Richard Hillman's driving the Platts into the canal sticks out in my mind, but I was very young at the time, so I don't know how scary it actually was.
Also, some of the Silas episodes of Hollyoaks, and also Sarah's death from the parachute jump. That really was harrowing. As for EE, probably some of the Trevor/Mo violence. Also, when Brookie was on there was a bunch of episodes when the whole close was taken over by a gang or something and everyone was held hostage in their own homes. I think a girl got raped as well. I remember finding that scary. |

Rob Hawthorne from Hollyoaks, he kidnapped Ruth, Tony, Lucy and Lewis and kept them in a freezing cold tank type thing.
Who remembers that? |
