Behind the make up and costumes are average singers who do the same type of performance every time. I thought with all the hype they would have lasted longer.

They looked great, but they can't actually sing.

Bit of a deal breaker that.

This - and they were very un-likeable overall.

Dull and bland won't go anywhere, as no one would vote for that. Alien might look different, but their singing was very poor, and their dancing skills were the worst I've ever seen. In the sing off, they sang flat, which is not a good thing to do. I think they need more time to improve their style overall, then they might make a better impression.

I feel like there were too many of them in the group, felt like a bit of a crowd

I think to do well on X factor a girl group has to be cute and sing well.

Alien Uncovered have dodgy vocals and don't dress in a "cute" way. They remind me of Kandy Rain from a few years ago.

And of course their name is terrible.

Of course they weren't going to do well. I had a gut feeling they would go out in the first week. I suppose Max was so boring, the OAP liked him.”

Just to give you the (almost) OAP point of view....

Have never watched Strictly
This year went to Download and Hellfest and Foos at MK bowl
Mainly listen to Guns n' Roses

Hate all things X Factor but have to watch because niece loves it - read this forum for sanity.
Alien were pretentious manufactured cr@p. They were about as original as a pencil. Dressing up and wearing wigs does not make up for a lack of talent.

Older people have just lived longer. It'll happen to you one day. So don't be so damn rude.

On the contrary, they seem like the musically illiterate dork's idea of contemporary music. 'Oooh, they dye their hair in neon colours, do embarrassingly-bad raps and scowl. How edgy!'

Just very forgettable, to be honest. I mean, yes, they're "individual," but the problem is that they never really took the time to show how they're individual individually. They're just "that different group," and that's actually kind of uninteresting.

Really surprised that they went. Although, Simon clearly got rid of them because he's scared of the competition. He slated Kiera last night and talked Alien up. I think people probably just assumed they would be safe, or maybe their vote was split with 4th Impact.

Alien had an audition, 2 boot camp rounds, 6CC and JH.

Yet I doubt any viewers could name any of the girls.

Alien Nation would've been such a better name to be fair.

In truth they were a shambles, could'nt sing and were all over the place, looked like they just came off the Jeremy Kyle show. Even for X Factor standards they were shockingly bad.

But he's male, so in the voters eyes it okay to be kooky and different.

Haven't seen a minute of the show until the sing off tonight. They seemed pretty good. For a week one sing off, you won't have seen much better. Thought they were the better of the two in the sing off.

Dont be so damn condescending. I am 67 with a record collection stretching from the Stones to the Killers with Rod Stewart,Queen,Yes,Genesis and many more in between, music that will be listened to in 20 years not forgotten in 20 weeks like todays bland, computerised crap.I am forced to watch this rubbish as my wife and granddaughter watch it. However your point about the OAP vote is invalid. No OAP I know wastes a phone call on something they are intelligent enough to know has no bearing on the 'fixed' result.
