Rylan could have been a better choice, he's had the experience on TV, but can be over-dramatic.

Bring back Dermot!

Rylan as host would be a great choice for me, I think he's a brilliant presenter/host. I would certainly enjoy the show more with Rylan hosting.

As for Olly, I've gone off him over the last couple/few years, I can't put my finger on it exactly.....too cocky, full of himself/reckons himself, something along those lines. I don't particularly rate him as a presenter either, he's just about ok imo but that's about it. Not especially keen on Caroline either.

I would second that, the main show needs someone like Dermot, he had a bit more gravitas for the role , avuncular with the contestants and he held the stage better. Olly and Caroline are more suited to Extra Factor where they were very good , on the main show they are like spare parts and their excellent partnership does not even have a chance to come through. Every role has its person who fits it and they have got it wrong on X Factor.

Rylan would be good on xtra factor . X Factor really needs Dermot it didn't feel as dramatic when the results were read out either with two people.

Olly and Caroline are absolutely crap, and without doubt they won't be back next series. Ratings have dive bombed and they surely are responsible for part of that.

It has brought home just how brilliant Dermot was in the role. Is it clear yet whether or not it was his choice to move on or was he pushed. If he was pushed… whoever decided that should be sacked.

Failing Dermot's return, then I agree Rylan would be great. He not only has the history on the show, but he has blossomed into a really great presenter, with buckets of personality. Is there any issue I wonder with contractually being with Channel 5 and not permitted to work elsewhere? Emma does The Voice… so can't see why Rylan could not do X-factor.

Rylan would actually be the perfect choice! But he's kind of tied up with Big Brother and other jobs, at least for now. I could see Simon snapping him up next year, for sure. He's a much more natural presenter than Olly.

Oh never crossed my mind but, with his gained presenting experience, I would say that Rylan would be a good choice as host and get Olly and Caroline back on Xtra Factor.

I'm amazed Konnie Huq didn't get the gig.

Let's not complain too hard because I'd be 99% confident that Stephen Mulhern is getting the call up if these two don't make the grade.
