Amazing. Now, for our fourth judge. This person is actually no stranger to The Chance Factor. In fact, he is the only returning judge from the previous series. He's had an act in the final every time so far, so y'all better watch this space. Ladies and gentlemen, it's the one and only:

Now, I am sure you're all dying to find out which category you'll be mentoring this series. Very interesting. Well, I suppose I'll put all of you out of your misery then. You've waited long enough.

Let's start with the first of our Jacks. This could get very confusing, so henceforth I will refer to Jack_Jones9 as Jack and to jackamakka as Jacka. Oh, Naruto, is there anything you would prefer to be called instead of just a part of your username. It always feels odd to put all these usernames in my posts. Anyway, the category Jack will be mentoring is:

Spoiler
THE GIRLS

Lots of potential in this category, I'm sure you will do a fabulous job with them. The girls also happen to be traditionally the strongest category on The Chance Factor, having won the first two series. However, they didn't do too well last series, so it's up to you to return them to their former glory.

Naruto is perfectly fine

oooh, the Girls are a good category too. Let's see what Jack does with them.

I think Jack will be very pleased when he gets on here.

There is one girl I think has to be in that category through to live shows !

Next up, it's Jacka. As a the panel's resident veteran, he has mentored most categories once before on this show. However, as I assigned the categories randomly with the good old RNG, assuming that he will get the one category he's never mentored only has a 25% chance of being correct. The category he will be mentoring is:

Spoiler
THE GROUPS

Again. Yes, again. Last series Jacka managed to get the groups to 3rd place, which was the category's highest but his personal lowest placing so far. Luckily, the quality of this category is miles better than it was last series, so aiming for the final again is probably not too far a stretch.

He's got them again I see, but we'll find out if he can go one better or perhaps win.

This leaves us with Naruto and Barry as well as the two remaining categories. Who will get which?

Naruto, the category you will be taking under your wing this series is:
Spoiler
THE BOYS

Objectively speaking, the boys are probably one of the weaker categories this series. However, there are quite a few acts in there that could very well go all the way if mentored properly. All runner-ups have come from this category, could this finally be the year of the boys?

Which means Barry automatically has:
Spoiler
THE OVER 25S

Definitely not the easiest category to start with, but there is a lot of talent hidden away in this category. It's also worth mentioning that this is the category that won last series, meaning there's a crown to be defended here. Good luck!

I think you're gonna do really good with the Boys Naruto.

Good luck with the Overs Barry, I took that category to the winning line, so I'll be watching with great interest.

oooh, the boys are interesting albeit not my first choice!

But I like the acts I am considering!

Okay, is everyone ready to find out why The Chance Factor is called The Chance Factor?

As much as I'm sure you would all love to pick your acts directly from the current list, that's not going to happen. No, I will use a random number generator to randomly generate a set of acts you must pick from. Don't let that deter you though, people have come very far on the back of dire act selections.

Before I get to that though, there are two things that will impact the acts I'll throw into the RNG. Firstly, I'm giving all of you the chance to eliminate ONE act from your category. My advice would be to eliminate an act you absolutely do not want to risk getting picked by the RNG.

Secondly, there's the matter of the twist. To make your lives a little easier, I will personally add one act from the list directly to the four acts you'll get to pick from. You don't have to take this act through to the live shows, it's still fully up to you. Oh, and don't bother trying to score brownie points with me, it won't work as I'm a neutral host who doesn't vote on his own games.
Soppyfan

I like that twist.

I also have a quick tip for the newcomers. When you have your acts, always have a note with saved songs in advance. It'll save you a lot of time in the long run.

I've sent a question, so while I am waiting for the reply, I'll just take a quick think.

Okay, I have decided!

The act I will be removing is...

Andy Williams!

I want to remove Wagner!

Jack, the act I am adding to your potential picks is Lauren Platt. I have only seen her mentored once before, and she went out way too early on that game. She has a very interesting voice, and I am sure your magic will work wonders with her.

Jacka, I am adding Stereo Kicks to your list of acts. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't believe I've ever seen these mentored? I'm also interested to see how you would differentiate them from the other dozen or so X Factor boy band, should you pick them of course.

Naruto, the act I'm adding for you is Jack Walton. I may be starting to sound like a broken record here, but I've only seen him mentored once and it wasn't very well. I think you could do much more with this lad.

Barry, the act I'm adding to your list is Fleur East. Now I have seen her mentored very well in the past, but everyone loves a bit of Fleur and after hearing Sax I need to see this powerhouse mentored once more - if you'll have her of course.

So that's Wagner and Andy Williams gone from their respective categories. Hopefully Jack will be here soon to pick the girl he is cutting from his category.

Jacka did PM me his pick though, he is eliminating 2 to Go.

Time to fire up the RNG and see which acts will be joining our series 11 superstars Lauren, Stereo Kicks, Jack Walton and Fleur East in their mentors' shortlists.
