Lets start a thread where we all discuss what themes would you enjoy seeing being in the competition?

'In the Spotlight' / 'Hot in 2015' - The contestants tackle songs from current and relevant artists who are currently conquering the charts.

Would like to see what contestants like Anton, Ché and Seann cover.

I think Sam Smith would be one Che would most likely cover as I think that is inevitable and I will put it out there when he does a Sam Smith song he will most likely get an ovation

Abba songs can be difficult - it would sort the wheat from the chaff
Blondie X

I've posted on other threads that I'd love to have -

Madchester Week
Frankie Knuckles vs Joey Negro
Modern Soul
Ibiza House

Basically any theme where they can't shoe horn in a bloody Whitney song

Perhaps they could have 'requirements' like they used to do on Dancing on Ice. Such as:

- A mash-up
- An uptempo song
- A ballad
- a modern, '2015' song
- a 'classic'

i would like an acoustic or unplugged week , they threatened to do that last year but ended up doing a cheesy xmas week instead

A "songs never sang once before on the X Factor" week.

unplugged week is a cool idea

Agree with an unplugged week, let's see who can actually sing underneath the massive backing tracks/music.

I love Reggae music, so it's great to see it included so far this year. Love the sound of an unplugged and 'never performed on The XF' week.

What about the opposite to this week's theme 'This is Not Me' - Anton covers Hotline Bling and Reggie 'N' Bollie sing a ballad?

which is basically what they had last night

as i have said on many occasions they can still have themes to give the live show some sort of direction but still allow acts a more open choice of what they sing

"be yourself" week was hilarious. How that even made it out of someone's mind to the point of being expressed verbally to other human beings let alone endorsed by the entire production team and put on television is a marvel in its own right.

i'm torn on themed weeks. I don't think it helps for everyone to be singing the same sort of song. I think maybe it should be up to the mentor to showcase different elements of their singers throughout the show rather than have a big band/disco/ballad etc, weeks.
