Katie might win if she can get to the final, according to the Daily Star. |

I can well believe it, and the Daily Star actually have a decent record with vote leaks (at least with X Factor) but 20% of the vote isn't really enough to be claiming that she's about to sweep off with the title.

Yes, I believe it. However it is too early in the series and voters get bored/disenchanted. I'm sure a similar revelation was made in an earlier series (Kevin and Susanna?) but they didn't win.

Katie has done most of the latin dances and mainly has ballroom left. If she and Anton produce more routines like their VW, then anything's possible.

I am surprised but at this stage it is believable . If she survives to the later stages the voting will become more focused when she's up against the better and popular celebs like Jay, Peter, Georgina .
I doubt Katie and Anton would be more popular then the above three with the younger voters . |

Katie might win if she can get to the final, according to the Daily Star. An insider said: “Fans have warmed to Katie, but a lot of votes are for Anton." Obvious telepathy being used to decipher whether a vote for Katie & Anton is for Katie or for Anton

I think it's panic voting that she won't get later in series as she has been so low on leaderboard in Latin weeks. I bet Jay had his best week votewise in QS week when he ballsed up as people were motivated to vote. Plus 3 out of 6 weeks isn't that impressive.
I have given Katie 1 of my 9 votes in 2 weeks, but won't do it as the numbers reduce. |

They've spouted this exact bull's bollox so many times it's all beginning to roll into one. In fact, I seem to remember a (very) similarly-worded article last year, just with Judy in place of Katie. And we all know how that ended...

I can believe it. Anton is certainly a lot more popular 'outside' than on here and I don't think that many people vote for the top of the leaderboard at this stage as they don't really need it.
It will be interesting to see how K & A get treated by TPTB as the show gets to the later stages. They have been allowed to get all their worst dances out of the way early (assuming they skip samba) and are getting particularly harsh comments which drum up sympathy. I think if the show can't get a male winner this year then an Anton win would be the next best thing in storyline terms. I still think Jay will win though. |

I knew Anton had a strong fanbase, strong enough to get them to the final (after all Anne Widdecomeb got to week 10!) but i did not expect this. As for them winning it depends on whether any of the other contenders pick up any extra votes as the weeks go on. I remember an X Factor year when a young Irish lad was top of the votes for the majority of weeks but ended up as runner up because the eventual winner picked up votes. But then there is always the opportunity for Katie and Anton to pick up more votes as well
I think if Jeremy or Carol were to leave Katie and anton could very easily get their votes.

In the past we've had bottom two appearances at this stage by couples who then went on to win or reach the finals. So not much can be made of this.
Wouldn't at all surprise me though if Katie & Anton were topping the vote. |

As Monkseal, the Daily star has a good record (I think it has been always them that leaked voting that was spot on).

Also, I don't know what the percentage phone vote (to internet vote) is. |

I totally believe that she's very popular but there's no way she could win. She has to make the finale first and when she does, she still won win imo.
Anita has more of a chance than her. Anita is the only woman left who I think could beat jay in the finals. |

Yeah wasn't it the Star who revealed the full voting figures in John Sergeant's year? If i remember it showed not just Sergeant well in the lead but Tom Chambers fairly well clear in 2nd place. The worked out pretty correctly when Sergeant left. I believe the story but people vote for different reasons at different stages of the show. |

I don't believe it for two reasons:
I don't believe anything that is printed in that rag and.. Anton could not choreograph a show dance if his life depended on it and up against possibly Jay, Anita, Helen and Georgia, the vote would be very split. People vote in finals often for those that they have not up until that point, so to say someone is favourite now is very premature |

The John Sergeant "leak" was The People. The order seemed feasible but I thought the whole thing smelt phony because of the volume of votes being described. They were talking about there being 5 million votes in one week and that's just...not feasible based on what any UK show has ever pulled in based on numbers given out.
