20% of the vote at this stage isn't that significant. When it comes to the final stages, they may get the same fan-base voting, but their rivals will be getting the condensed votes that are currently spread over a much larger number of candidates.
So, popular as they may be, they won't even get to the final. |

If she can make the Final (and I hope she can), she's one of the only people (along with maybe Anita) who could pose a realistic competition to Jay. She's got some fabulous dances left (only Rumba/Samba look like potential sticking blocks), and tonnes of Ballroom to build up steam with.
If I were stage managing the whole thing, I'd give her the Charleston after the Quickstep (Week 8), so she could have it again as the Judges' Choice in the Final (she can have the Rumba/Samba in the Semi-Final). A sweeping American Smooth Viennese Waltz based Showdance, pure Anton, followed by their Week 2 Tango as a Favourite Dance. What Anton needs to avoid is having a purely Ballroom final, as that could look like a cheap tactic; heck, her Jive could make a creditable Judges' Pick... ...although perhaps not next to Jay's. ![]() I can't see where the sudden improvement is going to come from. She has had only one 9 in the entire series. She is clearly struggling badly and I think in all likelihood her ballroom is going to suffer as well. All the others look as if they are up for the fight, she doesn't. |

Nothing like optimism. To get to the final she would have to avoid a dance-off against every one of the better dancers. Not even sure on another poor week she could even beat the others.

Even if the story is true, voting patterns will surely change as couples drop out. For example I imagine that people who were voting for Ainsley may well now be supporting Jeremy, not Katie.

I have been voting for them every week because I want to see good ballroom dancing without the props, themes and faffing getting in the way. Anton can provide this and Katie can do it. It's sort of an antidote to the rest of the show for me.
Looking forward to the quickstep, I think it will be ace. |

While I think the story could be true, in that Katie is getting the highest number of votes, I'm more concerned that there could be some riggage going on. She really doesn't fit the profile of the usual celeb who would be getting the most votes, at this stage in the competiton. I could believe it of Jeremy and Carol- for the duffers. And Jay and Peter- for the male totty. Anton often gets a lot of votes for himself, but it's never been enough to propel him into the final. I don't think his partnership is particularly strong with Katie- so it can't be that. He's had far stronger partnerships with previous partners. I'm truly mystified as to why people would be voting for Katie. She comes across as fairly boring to me. She also seems a bit stuck up. She doesn't have a warm or engaging personality, or is funny or entertaining. Her dances haven't been spectacular. Even the ones she's got more points for. If she's getting the most viewer votes then I think someone could be rigging it for her. Just my opinion!

Again- they don't fit the profile of the usual Strictly voter. There's something not quite right about this.
) this time last year .. to get Judy to Blackpool. It fell off then for some reason but what with it being the year of Anton etc .. I can see him getting to the final though I'll be doing my best to thwart him!
