I'm sure it's true and mostly for musical reasons. But there will be people who'll dislike him because of his dress style, his sexuality, and let's face it there'll be some people who'll not vote for him because he's black. Yet the latter would never get said, would it?
I disliked how on Saturday night Cowell seemed to almost legitimise the 'haters' who'd take against him because of how he is. Some people do take against people because of their gender, skin colour, sexuality, size, appearance etc, but I'd doubt if anyone would ever say to a black contestant "There'll be some people who dislike you", on the basis that certain people in the audience will be racist.
Just seemed a bit unnecessary. I hope he isn't subject to weekly 'you're different so I'm going to remind you a lot that some people are going to hate you for it' comments.
