I can't see anything at all on Chrome, had to switch to the mobile site. What a disaster. You don't change anything to the front end of a site until you know it bloody works. Amateurish stuff!
They do it every single bloody time.

It seemed like they were taking onboard the complaints by setting up a Beta and working on the redesign behind the scenes, but it seems they've got bored and just put it online now when everything is still unfinished.

I had to delete history to get on the forum just now - it had disappeared and was just a blank screen. Of course the crappy frontpage loaded, though, didn't it? That's all they care about, us FMs can do one as far as they're concerned.

What the hell have they been working on for all these months if everything's still crap? Hearst is the worst thing to ever happen to this place.

Presumably once they have finished "upgrading" DS it will be possible to contact DS again? There purports to be a link to "Forum Support" but it only goes to page 404.
Perhaps it only had room for 403 bugs

Was getting nowhere with accessing the forum but have cleared my browser cache and am now 'back in the loop'. Really don't like the new format...never have since they lost the blue layout.
I still have he blue layout, thanks to stylish.

It's been a long time since I've seen significant overhaul of a website and that it's been for the better.

Hi all,

Just as an update, the following things are unintended behaviour and are aiming to fix:

- The screen flashing to a different colour between loads
- Pages not loading until cookies and cache are flushed
- The navigator will no longer follow you down the page nor will it expand when hovered while on the forums (the behaviour will be exactly as the previous version, the only thing that will have changed will be the colour)
- Forum sizing issues will be fixed: smilies will be restored to their original 15x15 glory, as will the page appearing narrower than usual.

Very sorry for the inconvenience and frustration caused. Please bear with us while we work towards a resolution.

Thanks.

Couldn't get the forum to load on Chrome until I turned add-block off. Is the a conscious move or just a coincidence?

Could you add this to your list, please?:

#sticky-wrap is showing a lot of erratic behaviour. When I click on 'Quote' to reply, it goes crazy and covers the entire page in black with just 'Digital Spy' in the middle at top. I have to refresh the page to kick it back to normal.

I put it just after the first { at the top - here:
Code:
@-moz-document url-prefix("http://forums.digitalspy.co.uk/")
{
nav.nav { display: none !important; }
It just left a grey bar at the top which scrolled out of sight.
Thanks for that, worked fine.

oooo god don't do that! there's tonnes of malware in their ads.

i deleted cookies and then got a proxy server. I just got 404 errors in chrome until that for some reason . still got adblock on though this place is totally unusable without it .

What a mess this update it.

The site doesn't work in Chrome at all and in other browsers it's so slow.

DS - name and shame the developers that did this to you. I do hope you've withheld payment?, please tell us you didn't pay them up front?

I haven't read the whole thread so if the following has been mentioned before please forgive me.

I was unable to log in using IE9 so wondered if support for this version has now been dropped. I couldn't upgrade to IE11 as I don't have W7 SP1 installed. I'd not used Firefox as a browser before, but now have installed and am still configuring v.41.0.2 and so far I like it.

I have installed several Mozilla add-ons to get back the functionality of IE and of course Adblock Plus.

AdBlock is your friend - it makes using the internet in general just so much easier.
Indeed - took me two mins to delete the black bar forever.

Stylebot does a good job of improving the forum layout too:
