I take back what I said about the website working fine for me. I tried to start a thread yesterday and discovered that I couldn't type anything into the Title box.

Whenever I roll my mouse over the sections on the black menu bar (while on the forum, the main site shows different more up to date ones) the stories on the dropdown menu are always days old particularly soaps.

The forums have some issues but the main site is a mess. I don't think minor tweaks are going to cut it there. The new design needs a complete overhaul to be usable. Failing that they should stick to the old one.

Finger crossed that they leave it alone now and don't fiddle with it again

They've taken it away as they don't want to be disturbed while they think up the next way of mucking it up again.
They need peace and quiet when they're thinking up the best way to piss off the most people all at once, before they put it back to how it was before they fiddled with it

Is it taking forever to load a page for anyone else today?

The site was completely down for me last night.

OK today, but I use a variety of blockers.

I bet they're struggling, I think they've tried it all?

Subomains not being valid
Links that are dead / 404
Not letting people log in on Android and sending them around in a circle
Overlaying text or making things non clickable
Scrolling all jumpy and even 'walking sideways' according to some
Intermittently unable to type into the new post title box
Removing scrollbars
White blank pages on the most popular browser
Taken away the working search feature
Site running so slow that the pages take forever

They must be struggling to think what they could possibly do next.

It's not really fixed for me. When I change pages, they judder from left to right (or the other way) before they settle. Quite odd, really. I'm used to pages juddering up and down, to load ads and other graphics, but not sideways.

But look on the bright side, we no longer have the black flash!

Really annoying I still can't see bold text. All text appears as plain unformatted text since the change. It's really important when someone highlights someone's post in bold and says "BIB" but you can't see the BIB because it all looks the same.

Please fix this as it's totally ruining everything!

Here's a thought. Just put it back the way it was when it worked fine before they messed with it. Like a nice shade of blue and purple for example.

What ain't broke don't try and fix it! Not rocket science is it? The search tool that was previously buggy is now totally dead. What's the point in pandering to the advertisers if people can't use your website? No good advertising to people when all your users have cleared off.

Also I tried to do the : mad : thing the other day only to find it no longer works. Now have to faff around typing this... > : (

Not convenient when you're used to typing the smilies instead of using the smilie menu especially in Android where you have to exit out of the text box, scroll right, click on the icon then go back in to the text box again.

Edit: "" mad tag seems to work OK now. I wish they'd make their mind up.

Why have they made everything miles more awkward?

This is what I came on here to say, the judder is really getting on my nerves, wish they could fix it.

As I am unable to contact the mods, does anyone know whether Windows 7 IE8 no longer supports the new site?

It's my work PC, so I can't do anything other than clear my cache/cookies, which makes no difference. All I get is a black screen.

Apart from the shudder, it's working fine on my laptop on Windows 10 & Chrome but extremely irritating that I can't view the site at work (during my break, you understand!)

Lastr time I tried it was just a black screen. I upgraded to IE11 because of it.

It's odd though that they have decided to leave it unsupported as there must be many still using IE8 on XP or W7. And as you say, sometimes upgrading or using another browser is not an option.
