Has Simon lost his touch

in understanding what makes a star that will sell records nowadays. I think he made weird choices at 6 chair and in JH, how could he have not chosen Jennifer over Bupsy, a catch phrase does not make a star! The song choice for Bupsy was appalling, why would he think that an unknown song would help her win votes. Obviously One Direction are his biggest success, but that was 5-6 years ago. Ella Henderson is fantastic, but he wasn't a judge that year, but she is doing well and Little Mix are also doing well and of course Olly has been very successful, but considering he has had many good singers on the show, with a platform to sell themselves every week, why hasn't he had more success in recent years. I am sure Fleur will be his latest success. However, sadly for Ben, who had so much potential at the beginning, he will sadly fail to probably.

In the same way Louis was way past his sell by date, i think Simon is too.

Yeah he lost it ages ago

He couldn't spot talent if it slapped him in the face

Simon is so affected he cant even see straight anymore

Not letting Jennifer through to the lives as he felt she may actually wion just reminds us all how foolish he actually is

I think it coincided with his settling down, partner and baby. He used to be his own man, the Simon of old would never have let the baying mob make his decisions for him.

Why he thinks a catch phrase makes entertainment, I will never know. "I didn't like it I loved it" - seriously, its hardly, nice to see you, to see you nice. I think you are right, he has lost his touch since he settled down, he isn't even a nasty judge now, why is he even there! He probably won't be next year when he hot foots it back to the US to try and launch US X Factor into the old American Idol slot now that is ending.
