Yeah, this is a further oddity; whilst I didn't (or don't?) enjoy the TOS series, I did enjoy the TMP films (maybe with the exception to the Motion Picture and Final Frontier).

I never got the 7of9 love in VOY, if anything I cared more about the Doctor and Paris (who was probably the most charismatic guy on the show). As per DS9, Garak, easily. Granted he wasn't a regular, but I loved every scene he was in. Quark and Odo were probably the more interesting characters on the show though, and later, Worf. Then again I also liked the dynamic between Bashir & O'Brian. DS9 had a lot of character development all round to be honest, much better than TNG in that sense.
As per Enterprise, I'd say Trip was the one guy you felt for the most if you followed the storylines, and (similarly to Garak in DS9), Shran was an excellent character in ENT.
