Thoughts of a 3 yr old
mushypeas

I usually record strictly and watch once I've put my three year old girl to bed. This week she was sick so we watched it together on sunday morning. I never realised how observant she is until now! Here are some of her musings that I remember:

- on Bruno: he talks too much then, later on, he's not making any sense
- on Carol & Pashas rumba: is that really a dance mammy?
- on Kellie & Kevin: why are they trying to be my age?
- on Jay: is he meant to look like a cat?
- on Peter & Janettes VT: why are they in a tent? They can't do any dancing in there.
- on Peters speechifying after the dance: who is he talking to?

Oh, and the only one she got up and danced along with was Helen!

Methinks I will always watch with her in future

Can your daughter replace Bruno as a judge?

Replace all the judges I think

She's brilliant mushypeas, can't argue with any of her points either (and yes, thinking about it, Jay did look more like a cat )

Well, shes learned everything she knows dance-wise from watching The Wiggles so, yeah, she's qualified enough I guess

LOL...some good points there.

I watch with my four year old....she loves Helen too (who is one of my least favourites). At least on the results show, it gives me something to be pleased about when her and Alijaz are saved (she runs round the room in delight)

Your three year old is following in the honorable footsteps of JFW's Hammy!

your child is obviously the reincarnation of Wise Buddha, for Peter was delivering his humble humilifying oily speech to the great British public mainly, 'mate'.

You should have videotaped her and sent a copy to the producers of SCD.

Let's face it the musings of a 3 year old have more rationality than most of the things we have seen come from the brown paper idea sessions of the producers e.g. iffy theme weeks, lousy & corny VT's, props galore, etc

Aw sweet. My 5 year old niece saw a glitter ball in a charity shop and shouted 'Look Auntie, Da da da da da da da - da da da da da (the Strictly theme tune)" while spinning around.

We now own the glitterball.

I think some people forget who else watches the show -- It's for the "Junior Judges" right through to the "Tea Dance" generation and all kinds of people in between. It is a very rare TV programme that can appeal to a wide variety of audience and on the whole SCD is one of those gems. So "keep Dancing" , keep watching and keep foruming

Aaaw, thanks guys. I would tell her you all think she's brilliant but I'd be afraid she'll want her own DS login!

We only got to watch the show yesterday because we went to Disney on Ice in Belfast on sunday. After sitting through that none of the dancing on strictly inspired her (mind you I'm not too far behind her ).
Her suggestions this week ranged from "if he has to have a horse he should've had a real one" to repeatedly telling Peter to close his mouth ( I think this is because I'm always harping on at her to close her mouth when eating!). She also got quite confused by this weeks variant of the Gleb Special. If this is going to be a regular thing I'm going to have to have the birds n bees talk with her sooner that I expected

As an aside, there's a bit of the Little Mermaid in Disney on Ice - it made me reminisce about the wonderful outfit Scott wore last year and now I don't feel so sorry for the monstrosities they're inflicting on Kellie this year
