Most seem like pretty good choices, although I really hate that Basement Jaxx song. Feels like they're trying to throw Carol under the bus again. Very excited about Jay's and hoping Anita won't have to begin her dance with a load of cleaning props while Gleb 'does nothing' etc..

Good song choices for once this week! (Except Carol and Jeremy - I mean, a tango to Go West!?
) Particularly like the tracks for Anita, Georgia, Helen, Kellie and Peter. Hoping for a good show this weekend if the song choices are anything to go by. There might well be a number of stand out performances. Here's hoping!

I'd say Katie getting a 10 is about as likely as Georgia getting one and probably more likely than Anita getting one.
No series has ever seen more than five couples get 10s; Jay's already got one, Helen getting some is surely inevitable, and it seems to me that that leaves Kellie, Peter, Georgia and to a lesser extent Anita as candidates for the remainder. |

I can see this week being particularly strong, bring on the 10s
![]() Helen & Aljaz, I think, will top the leaderboard. Jay & Aliona, Peter & Janette, Kellie & Kevin and Katie & Anton will follow. Anita & Gleb, Georgia & Giovanni, Jamelia & Tristan mid-table. Jeremy & Karen, Carol & Pasha bringing up the rear. |

Anton has spent the last two weeks comprehensively burying the idea of the "Year of the Anton". Katie couldn't even do The One Latin Dance Anton Can Allegedly Actually Do.

think jay and aliona will top board
unlike some do not think Peter will and if judges marking as they have others do not think Helen will get more than 8 or 9 with her hip action |

Hey, I don't tink any of them are going to get one, I just think Len going coo-coo for Classic Ballroom is about as likely as them slopping a 10 out for a mid-series samba or suddenly giving one to "undermarked" Anita for a dance where they're already having to labour around the legend of That Jive mk 2.

Oooh! Some actual good songs there.
Not that I'm jaded about this show or anything, but I don't think Jay will get another 10 till he comes aht and gurns/shimmies for Britain in a charleston/salsa. They've set up their 'you've got to stop looking at Aliona and perform for the crowd' storyline and an AT is not going to change that. It's a real test for them this week - if the newspapers have upset them, they'll be stiff and awkward just when people's expectations are sky high. If they can put that behind them, fingers crossed. I will be very happy to see him do lifts when not dressed as a cat in a balaclava. I think the big redemption stories this week are Katie - absolutely fantastic song for her and Anton, the voters' favourite sort of thing - and possibly Peter. Also great for Anita and Georgia, and I'd expect good rumba choreography from Aljaz and Helen can act it, though it's another test of if she's stiff in latin. Jeremy's going to be able to do a comedy tango, which is probably best, and it will be great. I love Jamelia's song, just love it, but I'm not sure about the band's version of it. |

It's Pasha and Carol - I'm not sure it matters that much. Next week they're doing an AT to "Gordon Is a Moron" by Jilted John.

Lets hope Jay and Aliona ignore the rubbish in the rags and concentrate on producing a fabulous AT - they have the charisma and talent to do that big time

Anita and Gleb are Jiving to ‘The Boy Does Nothing’ by former Strictly winner Alesha Dixon.
Carol and Pasha dance the American Smooth to ‘Man! I feel Like a Woman’ by Shania Twain. Georgia and Giovanni dance the Samba to ‘Volare’ by The Gipsy Kings. Helen and Aljaz will Rumba to ‘Hello” by Adele. Jamelia and Tristan perform the Viennese Waltz to ‘Trouble’ by Ray LaMontagne. Jay and Aliona perform the Argentine Tango to ‘Diferente’ by The Gotan Project. Jeremy and Karen are dancing the Tango to ’Go West’ by The Pet Shop Boys. Katie and Anton will Quickstep to ‘42nd Street’ from the musical 42nd Street. Kellie and Kevin are going to Waltz to ‘Love Ain’t Here Anymore’ by Take That. Peter and Janette will Charleston to ‘Do your Thing’ by Basement Jaxx. Quote:
To say I am excited for Jay's AT is an understatement

The duffers, have been given the worst music again, but with Jeremy I think the purpose is now full on the comedy side (100% sure he will have a latin at Blackpool). As for Carol, THAT song for an AS ![]() ![]() Also the Alesha song is good for a latin dance, but not sure it is best suited for a Jive (as the video will show you). |

C'mon of course that's what will happen.
![]() I just hate all the naff props even more when they're used by someone who is a good enough dancer to not need them (which I know is the producers' fault, not theirs)

Out of the ones I know (skipping Katie, Jay and Jamelia) the best songs have been taken by Georgia (though perhaps a bit slow), Helen (easy extra votes from the younger viewers) and Kellie (targeting the 40+ female audience).

Wow, feels like there are so few left now! I like these choices. Particularly looking forward to Anita and Helen's dances with those songs.

![]() And yeah, a fat chance that either Georgia or Anita will score one either. Can see Georgia getting a 9, but Anita has been average in latin (scores; 27-27-27) so any score above 30 would be very good. All depends on who nails it on the night, but for now my top three would be Kellie, Jay and Helen (if all are executed great, then they should outscore the rest of the contenders). Would be astonished if anyone other then Kellie is at top of the judges leaderboard on Saturday (mind you, I said that about Anita last week ).

(I refuse to believe it was Aliona's idea) Anita's been relatively unscathed in that department. I'm still hoping for no faffing from any of the good ones from now on |

On to the other dancers. Now I see why Gleb didnt want to tell Anita their jive song on sunday....this is a good one and the pros danced to that song in the past; Excited to see this.

Not sure if Jay will be able to pull off the passion needed for the AT but they have really good music so hopefully that will help. I don't like Anita's or Carol's music much. Could see the end of Carol, I hope! Jeremy will be pure comedy for sure, bound to be cowboy themed. |
